I can imagine this going in two different ways:
1. You make your own deep research
2. You rely on ico rating sites and take others opinions for granted. If the majority of people think the same way, then this means hype around the project.

In the first case, you are more likely to find a hidden gem and hit it big.

Listen to bounty hunters or ask them about a particular ICO. They communicate directly with the team and help you in choosing!

Well, go for projects with possible realization. Without real world usage, a project is most probably creating shitcoins to make profits for themselves. If their project has aa real world usage, do a thorough research on the team. They are easily faked so be careful. Team check is always important and it may be the most useful aspect. If you trust a team you can trust any projects run by them.

You do not have to be posting this everywhere. I can see you have dropped some proof already and waiting for the admin to do something about it, but until further notice, you can show the proof to some DT2 members (Lauda, ThePharmacist, ibminer etc), so they can help you negate the account which will make it impossible for the person who hacked it to make use of it in scamming or performing any activity. That would be your best bet for now and sorry by the way for your account loss!

What? and what those people will tell you? for sure they will give positive feedback regarding to the project that they are promoting because they really wanted to make sure that the team will collect enough funds to pay them, choosing ico nowadays is really hard but if you are really serious then you will do everything to make sure that you will find quality ones, just keep reading and understand deeper in each project that you think that will be usable in the future.

My advice, when you choose ICO, be sure to open the project thread on the forum to get acquainted with the opinion of more experienced investors. This will help minimize risks.

Hi. Always, always check their ICO ratings, ICO bench, reviews, Whitepaper and etc so you can see their plans, team, roadmap and their ecosystem. This is exactly what I did before investing in chozun 途赞.

Before investing on ICO you need to study it first and review the project. Read the whitepaper and roadmaps. Check the backgrounds of the team and advisers. You can also see the review of iCO experts.

In choosing ICO there are several factors to be consider. First you should search every person in their team to know whether they are legit or not. Also check for each and every advisors they have. Lastly, read their whitepaper and study about their project and know if it will have an impact on the community of cryptocurrency.

Most important things are team and product viability.

So many projects promise to be the next facebook or the next bitcoin but they're raising $20,000,000 and run by 19 year olds. There's a chance they'll pull it off, but stats will not be in their favour.

If the product has a short roadmap and you can see they can PULL IT OFF, then you have a better chance of sitting on a good project- and if they've done the tokenomics right then you might actually make some money.

When looking for a good ico, researching helps you a lot. Reading whitepaper is one of the best way to help you spot a good from a bad ico. Whitepaper lets you see what the ico is all about and what are its goals. It also jelps you determine how successful this ico can be or how bad it is.

Look for a good team managing and running the ico. Active people and engaging towards its investors are a good signs of a good ico. I have seen a lot of ico lately whose administrators are non responsive and doesn't entertain its investors which is a bad sign. But before completely trusting them be sure to check them for credibility as well. There have been a lot of scammers lately posing just to fool people.

Then you can be in gtihub actively search the code of this project, and then search the project technical issues, the white paper, so if the project has enough supporters, so most of the time is a good project.

I can tell you how not to choose.  Never trust any ice rating provided by website all of them are manipulated and paid so apply your own mind if you feel concept,  team etc is good.

the most important thing is the team, then you need to check all the references and evidence provided. if this is all right-study white paper, so that the idea was realized, not fantastic. and the last one is how much this ICO is moving forward

I suggest you check out some of ICO's websites, such as icorsceration, icobench and icodrops.
You can refer to all three sites in a comprehensive way, so you can get the answers you want.

personally, I think if Before investing in ICO I always try to know more about their projects, ideas, teams, roadmaps. It is also very important to read a white paper because there you can find answers to all your questions. If you trust a team, you can trust every project run by them.

At present, I think it is no longer suitable to invest in ico. Many encryption in the ico market is below the ipo price. If you really want to invest in ico, I think you can directly buy encryption below the ipo price.
