Hi, I only get 630-650K/hs on my MSI 280x Sad I have tried everything. These are my current settings.

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 0
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://doge.247mining.com:3333 -u x -p x -I 13 --thread-concurrency 11200 --shaders 2048 --api-port 4028 -g 2 --gpu-powertune 0 --gpu-engine 1200 --gpu-memclock 1500 --scan-time 30 --temp-target 70 --temp-overheat 80 --temp-cutoff 87 --gpu-fan 80 --auto-fan --device 0 --remove-disabled

I also have a sapphire 7950 in my rig and it does fine at 630K/hs.  I am running 2 instances of cgminer.

--gpu-engine 1050 instead. Remove --shaders 2048. Try --thread-concurrency 8192, 10000, or 10240

Code:
--temp-target 70 --temp-overheat 80 --temp-cutoff 87 --gpu-fan 80 --auto-fan --device 0 --remove-disabled --shaders 2048

Try taking those out

Change
Code:
--thread-concurrency 8921 ; --gpu-powertune -20

Adjust fans accordingly. Let me know

I have the same card.  It doesn't like Core clock above 1040.  Try below that.

My current settings gives me 650-660 k/hash but them settings give me 620k/hash

also when i am not running the 280x, my 7950 gives me 695k/hash!

Close down all programs you don't need running. I don't know what to tell you.

Try -v 2 and drop the powertune. Also clse all the programs, even gpu-z. only cgminer running and then check hashrate. 280x is really stressed when someone is watching Tongue

My settings for that same card is -I 13 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192.    I have afterburner running at 1500 memclock and 1035 core clock.

I get ~725 K/hash

Hi there,
I have the same MSI r9 280x Gaming GPUs, running 3 of them in a rig.

My hashrate is around 670-680 kh/s max. Aslo another problem is that the hashrate is very unstable. Its going down to about 300-400 kh/s then going up to 680kh/s. And this happens all the time regardless what coin/pool Im mining.  Long time average for these 3 cards is about 1850kh/s

Current bat file looks like this:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://middlecoin.com:3333 -u x -p 11 -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1050 --gpu-memclock 1500 --temp-target 70 --auto-fan

I have tried different values for thread-concurrency and gpu engine and memclock but wasn't able to get more than 680kh/s. I tried these in cgminer vers. 3.5.1 and 3.7.2 but I never got more than 680kh/s.

The GPUs are running on a Asrock  970 Extreme4 mobo. with 8 Gb of Ram.
PSU: 2x Corsair RM 750.
OS: Win7 64

As ibrahim11 suggested Im also thinking of flashing the BIOS.

Now I have this version:
http://gpuz.techpowerup.com/14/01/21/g0y.png

Can some of you guys who are getting >700kh/s post your BIOS version to compare with ours?

Also another question about the gpu-powertune: should it be 20 or -20, bcs I see that both options have been suggested here already.
