It means the price will be like all other crypto currency after launch. Price will be rediculously low for a very long time then hopefully as more people use it price rise e.g. Bitcoin.

Yes, of course, but the doge-people are not interested if it's only "some unknown coin". So, to make options to choose different coins (and making reddcoin the base-coin), it might attract a bigger audience.
