Or plan for delays like I did...Batch 4 just started looking a whole lot juicier with actual shipments and tons of people getting out of line early!

as far as i know you cant buy any batch#4. webshop closed. most likely they were forced to stop selling.

For any B1 folks who received unsolicited refund checks (and you didn't cash them).

I was able to have my checks cancelled and my order re-instated by mailing refunds@hashfast.com and copying sales@hashfast.com

This created a fogbuz support case which HF referenced when they got back to me.

I found the telephone support line is pretty much useless.

While still not great, it is definitely better than the 90%+ BTC loss of the USD + tax hit of the unsolicited refund.

Looks like I went from being right near the front of the queue for B1 to pretty much the end due to this error.

Error? Or done to buy them extra time? Do you still get the MPP?

Congrats on your delivery! This caught my attention as I also received mine today! Actually having the same problem with the PSU, have to switch it on and off a few times before it starts up. I didn't find the set up too difficult. It's hashing away pretty well so no complaints but yeah not likely to see those coins back but oh well you win some, you lose some, enjoy!

Congrats on your delivery! This caught my attention as I also received mine today!

I guess this is the first delivery outside of the USA (if you are in the UK?)

What was the shipping date and your position in the queue?

UPDATE:

I got a call from HF in response to my first day emails and that the gear was not working right.  Very nice sales tech and I suck with names so I think he said his name was John.  Anyways he wanted to know what was wrong with the unit and I told him about the fans and the power supply issues that I think I am having.  He said that with the system shutting down for about five seconds at random times it could be that the PSU is having issues effecting operation.  He said that last week was the push to start filling orders and so they were in a hurry to get gear out to customers who needed gear in hand and not emails saying it was coming.  To do this they bypassed their planned processes like sending out tracking numbers and opted to fill orders ASAP which is probably why my unit showed up with the issues it did.  They are now doing their planned processes so these issues should not be happening.

So they are shipping another unit to me for a direct exchange so that my down time is minimal and my problems are resolved with a unit that should work as they planned.  Wow so they passed BFL on that item for service.

Also they stated that their programming group is working to continue to offer updates to increase performance and the units should get updated as updates come out.  So emails and other information will follow on that but overall the units should improve production over time.  This came up because I mentioned I did not overclock the unit so as to not void the warranty and that it has been doing a little over 400gh like a solid red line with no waves.

They said I should have a replacement unit tomorrow and then they would like to check back in to see how that goes.  Again wow.

I will say I am very impressed so far and I will keep you all updated.

By the way the reason I am doing this info update is one: its cool to get some of the first gear | two: I want to share because other have shared with me to avoid scams and issues | three: I like to help small companies and I hope and or think HashFast is trying to build a company that will do cool things | four: If I share info then other will share and we can help each other out because none of this has been easy no matter what you think and I am talking about the whole start of Bitcoin and not just this hardware setup.

So no I don't work for HashFast or any other Bitcoin company except my own www.hypewiz.com

Also will shoot more video and photos too.

Oh and I was not expecting a call but I did give them my cell since I live in California and figured it would be easier to solve the issues.  No I will not share my cell number on request.  I would guess that they will probably want to work via email and that because I did share my number it worked out for this case.

I don't expect this service or do I think this is normal.  I think it has to do with luck, being an early order, maybe this forum, other people and other facts that caused the call to happen.  I think once this is resolved then getting a call or this kind of service will be rare or minimal at best going forward but that is a guess.

I am sharing this info to help out but please don't expect the same results just because I got this service.  I ordered early and did not pay more then what was listed on the site at the time so lets hope this is just the level of service they want to offer going forward.

i expect them to be easily overclockable. [...]

its now up to the community to overclock these things as fast as possible.

Maybe not that easy.  If it's drawing ~450W through 2 6-pin PCIe connectors, the wires and connectors are probably already near their limit and running hot.

There may be solder-on solutions to this problem, assuming the PCB traces and such can handle more current.

Why can't you just plug it into a usb on your computer and try using BFGMiner or CGMiner?  If it works on MinePeon it should be recognized by BFGMiner 3.10.0 since HashFast support was added in this release.

I got my BabyJet on January 29th. I was expecting it would run on wireless Windows. Instead, I needed to go buy a WiFi adapter for the Raspberry Pi--not a big deal.  Setting the thing up was a challenge, but I had it running in a couple of hours, without needing a CAT5 cable. Then, the software was updated, and a lot of us lost the better part of a day before it was rolled-back. My BabyJet ran fine for 10 days--no problems with noise, fans, PSUs, or anything. Then, another update came down the pipe Friday night, and the BabyJet has been offline ever since. HashFast sent me a new SD card, but it didn't help. It seems that the update now restores the original configuration, every time it boots, which means I haven't been able to use WiFi, so it won't run. In two weeks time, I've lost four days of mining time due to poor setup instructions and no longer being able to use WiFi.

So, I ended-up re-installing Ubuntu on one of my old laptops, which I *just* upgraded to Windows7, in preparation for using it to run the BabyJet. I just hope they subtract 25% of the BTC they think we might have earned for the MPP, since HashFast is largely responsible for the downtime we have had.

Anyway, I've given up on the RPi.
