Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Will the block rewards continue halving after the block reward is 50?
It reads this on the description:
Reward : 150 ALC per block for the first 27800 blocks,
then 50 ALC per block
Will it go to 25 after some certain amount of blocks?
If it stays on 50 this coin will be mined very fast.
