I am looking to trade goods for Bitcoin. eBay is great because there is an infrastructure, and a lot of credibility. Is there anything like this in the a bitcoin world?

As of now I'm thinking about selling things on ebay, then converting that to Bitcoin through Coinbase...but that feels like cheating.

Any suggestions?

The ultimate safest way would be to find someone looking to buy what you have and trade in person.

bitcoinclassifieds.net

No escrow to be stolen from, no BTC held on private keys out of your exclusive control, P2P sales only.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

Checkout CryptoAlley.  It just opened and has a format like eBay PLUS.  Coinpayments is the payment processor.  Fiat is listed as a payment means but is being removed this weekend so everything will be strictly crypto currency.  Over 35 coins can be used for transactions and for a while till things get going there are no fees.  All a seller has to do is, sign up at CryptoAlley, create an account at Coinpayments and they're set to go. Instructions to get started are on the Help page.
