Cool, at the moment OZ still looks good. I am thinking of Sydney, because I got friends and relatives there.

From that link it said Sydney is 26% cheaper, so that is good. Also if VAT is only 10% that is also really good. And the GDP is low, which is excellent. One of the major reason why I want to live UK is the UK debt is so high and there is a possibility that it will increase the VAT and other Tax really high soon, to cover for the debt.

I heard Australia has pretty strict immigration laws ie you need a specific trade which will be beneficial to the country to emigrate there, so take that in to consideration if you don't have one.

In terms of immigration laws, how hard would it be for a Canadian to move to Australia?

I remember looking into it a few years ago and unless you were a skilled professional and had a considerable sum in your bank account (I remember it being around $150k but I may be very wrong), it seemed very hard.
