Hi I would like to invest in altcoins. And initially I wanna go with ICO projects. Do you know any ICO failure projects? I want to research a bit on those projects to know the reasons of failure. Please share the info you have. Thanks.

A lot of projects could not raise funds. Most of the problem is that they are just a very bad project. Good projects are always appreciated well

One of the first scam ICO's was Ox Fina.  Their website is still up as is their social media.  If you dig through their website you will see some stuff that should warn you off like misspellings and a team of people with no last names an d no social media presence.

ICO is can be failed but the price of the btc fall last year it’s the example of ICO and last year ICO fall 40% of bitcoin. The main reason of falling is lack of marketing team, target & selling process so if they can assure this can be the proper example of it so we should invest money in BTC.

The basic is don't invest on new ICO that offers a large return of investment which is too good to be try and don't have a constructive plan nor explanation of how they will do it, most failures also comes with low solid investor and bad marketing. you must also remember that a new ICO don't have permission to disclose the information about the exchanges while the ICO is not finish or the exchanges is not announced it officially because it will void the agreement on the exchanges.

This will depend on how you will define failure. Because for me a certain ICO will not be a failure if their coins are still in the CMC even the price at its cheapest, an ICO is not a failure if its a scam and an ICO is not a failure if the project was halted. Maybe what you mean is if the ICO was obsolete after it was released in the market then i think there is none.

loandex and hashcard are two of the most recent failures of ICOs, the loandex states the reason that their ICOs failed because they were constrained by the rules of government in the country, while my hashcard was not sure why they failed, suddenly their telegram group was blocked , and there is no official notice in their social media.

I do not know the example of an ICO project that failed because I never invested in crypto, therefore, I do not know the Crow's ICO project because I only ever heard of ICO project failed because many investors who took funds from people who want to invest in ICO is therefore called the ICO scam

There are some ico failures, many are successful, icant give you some examples but i want to says that be careful on what your going to invest. Research and knowing their platform is one way to know or recognize if going to run the project. Invest in a strong project and have good developers.

Yes, there is plenty such example and the common reasons I found out behind such failures are the bad team, Bad project and sometimes unrealistic project and some more. So, before investing think twice if it will be worth one or not.

I think the risk of ICO is huge. I have read many articles and ICO is not worth it this year. . But personally, ICO is equal to entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial risk is also very high. And there are still many crooks. So my personal suggestion is not to choose ICO. If you do not have 80% judgment, please do not choose. Don't let your money disappear. Even if you may not notice it.

-one project that fails to one major reason. The project didn't state that they will closed the project but they are making ways to continue the project in some ways.

most of the ICO project failure is that they did not reach their soft cap target and it is the major reason why project decide to closed.

First of all what do you mean by failed ICO and what will be the subject of your research? If you mean scam ICOs then I can name some such like Benebit, Terraminer etc.. if you mean ICOs that did not succeed from my own experience I would name BlackMoon and HOQU, the last one could be referred as a scam though, without any activity on GitHub from developers, having raised more than $15kk while presale and crowd sale stages, now it is traded at -x5 from ICO price.

I know from experience a failed ICO project last year and what happened was that they were not able to reach their soft cap and which really affected many of their participants.

I need to understand, the failure in what aspect are you referring to? Is failure to raise their ICO money or failure in the sense that they enter exchanges and went down below ICO price?

First we can see the ICO projects not get the success due to bad team in development and promotion. they need to set up everything before they open up the bounty or pre ICO sale at any place.
Secondly, I can see the fake ICO projects in the market even you go bounty section means you can find many bounties but all the bounty campaigns are not real one. You may get scammed only you will promote the project without rewards.
Finally, you may see some project with good features but they will not scam you but unfortunately they cannot even to reach the softcap in the sense what do you think of it mate.

And i guess what only the dumb person that invested on the hoqu and bmc. both have very bad idea and business plan. I told you about this the ranked altcoin based on the github repository update and you can see that through this link https://sanbase-low.santiment.net/projects

if you are looking for an ICO to invest in, I will advise you look out for ICO project that has 80% working product on ground already. ICOs investment return is 50/50. in fact, your chances of winning are very thin compared to losing. I prefer investing in ICO project the moment they hit exchange.
