Setting a second gpu via pcie 1x on cgminer

Hi guys, i added a second Sapphire hd7950 to my rig today, and it doesn't show up in cgminer, i need it to run at the same settings than my first hd7950, the first is connected via pcie 16x and the second via pcie 1x on a asrock H-61 BTC Pro
This card shouldn't require a shorting pin since it's a motherboard specially created for mining purposes

Edit: Sorry just saw that you said you shouldn't need a shorting pin for this Mobo. It could be a problem with the card. Try switching the old one out for the new one and see if it's recognized. If your computer sees the new card and mines on it just fine, you might have to try the jumper or you could have a problem with the PCIE slot on the MoBo or the riser.

Thanks, but the mobo i'm using have been designed only for mining purposes and for plug gpu on the pcie 1x so i don't think i should do this.

1. Have you tried the card in the PCIE x16 slot? To see that it even works?

2. Does the motherboard detect the GPU in the BIOS?

3. Are you using powered risers?

Yeah card are both working on pcie x16

I dont see any gpu menu in my bios, only cpu

I'm using powered risers but didn't plugged the molex since there's a molex in the mobo to power the gpus

If they are powered risers, you have to attach the molex to the psu or they will not work at all... I'm not sure how your mobo is designed, but I would attach the psu's peripheral power molex connectors straight to your powered risers.

Also make sure you plug the PCI-E adapter in the correct way. If you do it incorrect it will burn the PCI-E slot. I've seen it happen to a few customers
