I agree, it is very strange. They did far too much work for it to have just been a scam all along. As someone previously suggested, most likely they just got in over their heads so while it started off with good intentions, they will not complete the project and eventually take the funds.

The last message from devs was in the beginning of this January, some more days later the
website was offline. Since last year (novembre or so) there was no progress more as far as i know.

I have been very disappointed in the overall transparency, communication and progress of this platform. There have been many promises and claims that have been neglected.

A good example of the opposite would be NEM.

I doubt it. A child could hide their tracks on the Internet nowadays if they wanted to.

1) Buy computer with cash
2) Access Internet only through public wifi and/or VPN

Even if the Exocoin devs didn't take these precautions, it would still be next to impossible to track them.

You could ask Theymos for their IP address (not like he is going to give it)

Even if he did hand over their IP address and it led directly to their residence, then what? Is someone going to petition their ISP to release their personal information? Never going to happen.

There is only one way to stop these cryptocurrency scams and that is to not invest in them, period.
