Fern I sent you 5000.  Hmm then 10 minutes later, the app crashed.

Try again Paul. I've done 8 transactions without problems.

seem to be difficult to have it synced properly, several shutdown / restarts needed and after that all block seem not validated...

i'll try to redownload the blockchain

even with chain out of sync transactions and the 10000 exo was registered!

great!

i mined some exo!!! 20 exo !!!

this mining is a revolution

i think the share algorithm is not applyed now, every1 should have a share based on shortest time to find the block.

now i see only the same share between miners.

my block 405 finding value is 3338577  in 01:07  (cpu E5300@2.6ghz client tells 75Kh/s)
my block 406 finding value is 5960263  in 02:00
my block 407 finding value is 2897550  in 00:58
my block 408 finding value is 3731790  in 01:16

Just a suggestion:

It would be good if you allow the resizing of the GUI because some of the text is being cut off.  This would allow for the users to resize the window so they can see the rest of the text, I'm guessing.

I'm also having a hard time resyncing with the network.  It shows 0 connections and I have already tried erasing the block folder and the err.log files.

edit: and maybe a "File" options menu to exit from within the GUI

If no resolve, download and unzip client again.
If you want to use the same wallet you just need to keep "wallet.exo"

some remarks to what you wrote in the past pages:

- clients won't show an update dialog as for now (they would, but the update server don't tell them Wink ). If you have an outdated client, then you have no chance to get any connections. So please download the latest version (we will enable the update system soon again, anyway...)

- "resync time" and "check peerlist" are good commands if you don't get connections and have the latest client version as migello suggested

- mining output is not fair yet. It will simply split the value to the miner count and does not take in the needed mining time (will be changed soon) [so yes, migello you are right] (we forgot about this to be honest... just created a ticket now)

- mining speed you see now is not representative. It must be adjusted (in terms of a static difficulty value) once we have the GPU miner! Dont draw any conclusions on the khps rate yet

- even if you feel the need to delete the whole chain folder: it should be enough to delete the last 5 blocks. If we switch to sqlite sololy in a later version this wouldn't be possible of course....

- the initial sync speed will be dramatically increased with 0.62 (we can make this statment more concrete: we will save exactly 1510 milliseconds per block, so for 500 blocks to be synced it will save almost 13 minutes (!) )

- it's funny: the client actually was resizable, but we have disabled it with 0.61. We will make it resizable again once our elements will resize as well accordingly (0.63 or something  maybe)

- roadmap: will be released soon (2-12hours)

We see that there are still some issues with the client in regards of syncing up and other smaller stuff. However, we are glad that there was no chain async yet and that the mining seems to work (apart from the specific amount what you get, but it was not expected to be correct). If the points from the roadmap are finished then we are ready for launch.
Created a new ticket: Chain sync sometimes stops on very last block. Already have an idea what goes wrong. This should be fixed in 0.62

#edit: dont see the launch to close from now. We still need some things to be done. But dont see the launch to far away from now as well Wink Please wait for the roadmap which will be released soon for more details (2-12hours).

I'd like to thank the testers and bug/improvement reporters! Without your work it wouldn't be possible to get a solid product before 2016 Wink

best regards

edit: I further tweaked some udp settings. I "feel" that it already syncs up better. With more work done I am optimistic to have a good and fast sync on every try with 0.62 (without need of restarting, deleting etc).

roadmap is finished, but I would like to talk and rethink about it first. So we will publish it in about 12 hours.

Anyway, let me emphasize that we are glad to have defeated (hopefully!) the chain async issue we had experienced in 0.6 and all versions below.
We did not reached #500 yet and I would be even more happy if we already would have reached #1000 without troubles but we never got that far (#425) yet without issues in the previous versions. Also, the money calculations looks good now. I think there are no more glitches.

We think that we do not need a new beta test until we have reached the version with all features needed for launch. So the next test should be the final test. But as long as 0.61 runs without troubles (hopefully that would be for months) we won't shut the network down of course. We might upload the chain once in a while for faster initial syncs... --- oh - wait I am not telling you that the next version will be available in months, dont worry and wait for the roadmap please Wink

regards
eXocoin
