Hello everybody, good and bad news below.

yes it's right, we will launch with 0.7. that number indicates a major release version. However, 0.7 will be pretty close to 0.62 for sure.


Network is "still" stable, however we unfortunately found a bug, introduced by this version itself. We forgot to remove a test feature which kicked in after a certain block amount threshhold and it modifies the block's hash in an unwanted way.
So we already removed that one line, but we need to re-upload the binaries and restart the network... I'm sorry for this mistake.
To compensate this happening we will delay it some more hours ("what - more? yes, read on...") and will integrate the faster sync feature (needed syncing time should decrease up to factor ~50-80) already in this version. I promise that we will start the open beta test today (today in UTC time).

Alright, the speed-up on initial sync is not part of this version, however, the server part of it is included.
That means that there will be a clientside update in the next 1-3 days which enhances the initial sync.
We moved the grabber part of our online block explorer to a live server so it's data (well there is not that much information yet) should be accurate and live.
Changelog is online at exocoin.org.
Download link of beta version within the next 15 minutes.
linux builds are delayed until tomorrow.

something is not right, for ID 0 I have a date of 1970-01-01 00:00:00 and ID 1 says 2014-09-04 02:09:50.

I only have 2 connections and it won't load pass ID 1 which has a yellow sqwiggle line next to it.

Edit: two restarts and can't get fully synced, always one block behind.

Edit2: three restarts and finally able to sync.

0.6     -> 0.61  = 0.01        38 days  0.01/38 =   2.63x10^-4
0.61   -> 0.62  = 0.01        42 days  0.01/42 =   2.38x10^-4
0.62   -> 0.7    = 0.08        x days    0.08/x =    <2.38x10^-4

So we can see production has slowed so we will call the version/day ratio 2.19x10^-4 to be generous... 0.08/2.19x10^-4 = 365.29 days. Or a year. And weirdly that's exactly how long it feels like it's taking
