A lot of self airdrops nowadays are everywhere. It is a form of airdrop where you need to send 0 or a certain amount of eth in able to receive the token.
Do you think this is better than traditional Airdrop ? I wanna know your thoughts community.

For me, it has advantage and disadvantage. The advantage of doing selfdrops is, you can be able to receive the token immediately. The disadvantage of it in my opinion is, you need to spend on gas. So people that does not have anything in the first place will not be able to participate, even though gas is not that expensive a lot of people does not know yet how to load their mews using fiat, that is why for me they are at disadvantage in terms of doing self drops.
In my own thoughts, traditional airdrops is much better from self drops for the reason that the airdrop participants will help the ICO community grow through following the social media accounts of the management. Self drops requires 0 ether donation but sometimes a transaction error occurred when we don't met the gas price and it can lead to lossing some ether on making transactions unlike airdrop forms, we only need to sign up our verifications.

Selfdrops were valuable the earlier stage, the first self drop that I knew about had good values and that is ENU, aside that most self drops that came out eventually were all shitty and valueless. At a time it appeared that most scam projects were going via Selfdrops until it became uninteresting to participate.

I lost close to 5 ETH doing selfdrops 3rd quarter. I took part in scam projects that got dumped after listing on exchange. It was an exit scam event I'm still trying to recover some of the ETH I lost.

Selfdrop is very ok considering the fact that you don't have any task to carry out and you don't have to wait for days or months to have it in your wallet. The only disadvantage is that,it may not get to exchange.

I feel this is not a good thing and even too risky. When should send some airdrop in advance then it is feared will happen to bloom is a fraud. How might make sense when hoping and waiting for payment but must pay to them first. of course, this is quite confusing and I have yet to find it.
