Nope I hadnt noticed them.

However I have just found out that their units r avalon clones and are very power hungry...1250w overclocked!

Antminers use 400w overclocked.

this unit will NEVER make 3 BTC back, so whats the point to buy it ?

You dont know that, also why are you commenting? Got nothing better to do on a Sunday than try to derail my thread?

Quote from their website:

"Typical: 1.2-1.4 GH/s at a standard 0.9V, with 2.05W pre GHs.
Low Power : 1 GH/s at 0.8V with 1.5W pre GHs.
Turbo: 1.5-1.6 GH/s at 1.0V with 2.5W pre GHs."

so for 230GHs it should be 575w - where did you see 1250w ?

Last week I had the option to buy an antminer S1 for 2BTC and didn't buy at the end so quoting myself:

anything over 2btc will be considered expensive.

So thank you, but I will wait for a better deal. Smiley

Of course i do, its pure math dude, check this out :
http://thegenesisblock.com/mining/a/cf7d441b0e

Stop using that calculator as some holy grail of future difficulty.  It does not make use of a gradient for network growth.  If you had ran TGB calculator in November of 2012 it predicted the difficulty of January to be 4B with Feb hitting over 8B.

Thank you, finally someone with some sense comes to my defence. These people look at these calculators with no education what so ever and think they r gospel.

The antminer S1 will make approx. 0.045BTC per day.

That means it will take approx. 13 days to make 0.6BTC which is the difference between the minimum price asked here (2.5BTC) and the  price from bitmain (1.9BTC - assuming the price won't be reduced by then).

I don't know about you but I'd rather get a NEW miner and wait until the 8th of February (12 days from now).

See ? no complicated difficulty/ROI calculations - just simple math and some logic. Grin

I hear that, I still don't see a point in spending the same amount of money, Just to use more electric in those few days, Still, I know you said you wont go lower than 2.5, So I will understand you rejecting this, But I could go 7 coins for the 3 units, Escrowed and shipped (next day) to me, Thats a respectable 2.3 per unit plus just under 0.1 towards postage.
Offer valid till 7AM tomorrow (before you would ship)

I visited vvhiteknight yesterday and bought one of the antminers he has for sale.

Easy to find, no hassle, a good seller.

The miner is all setup busy mining away.

They have been dumping Avalon clones for awhile now.  Average 1000 watts use.
