Yeah with a market movement like this, btc would be your best bet. Bch has hyped out last year  and though i think it can legitimately make money for you, it's below btc and eth.

I believe no one here is saying bitcoin does not have potential, but we are considering about the potential drop of it which is totally the reason why we look for some other coins for investing. I would not be surprised anyway as we are in a bear trend and we can all see this same pattern is playing out funny enough. The long term is still great and we are all looking forward to it, but that will not stop the movement downward for the mean time. It means we must still invest into bitcoins as it is the best option as of now also.

We may see many other best investment opportunities but the success rate will be very low. Instead of struggling with some unknown thing, it would be much better to invest with know things like bitcoins for better and assured returns.

Any coin or token can actually come up being great. However, what the OP is not giving us based on his question is what he actually considers as the best cryptocurrency of this time hence in next month we will have another one, it means I assume he is looking for short term investments rather than believing into bitcoin for years. Is it based on percentage increase or market capitalization or the real value it ends up creating ?

There is much to a cryptocurrency being the best, but if we are to be taking any chance, it will be bitcoin with a slight chance for Ethereum as well. Other than these two, if you compel to choose another one then that must be waves because I do see only that coin is having better future similar to ethereum. Still, anyone should act on their own research and analysis and not definitely by others view nor opinion.
