coinking are having issues of their own now ...

lets see how it all pans out in a few weeks ...

chances of wafflepool coming back are very slim if the time they have been down is any indication ...

Sad to see this pool dead now. I remember this was my favorite pool back in the Scrypt days.

If I may suggest... prohashing.com - takes over where middlecoin, wafflepool, etc. left off. Transparent operation - unlike wafflepool and others - the admins are well known and available for support anytime. They trade over 140 scrypt and alt coins - payouts in any coin, including USD payable directly to a coinbase account. Much more profitable than anything going right now.

scrypt only? ...

looks like a nice pool with a great variety of coins - but scrypt only? ...

this pool takes over nothing if it is the only algo is scrypt ...

unless im mistaken of course ...

would really like to try this pool out - but not on just one algo ... especially scrypt ...

Implementing multiple algorithms is the last step in the pool's master plan.

However, businesses fail when they attempt to expand before mastering their initial expertise.  Expanding to other algorithms before mastering scrypt is like opening a restaurant and then selling franchises before the original restaurant is profitable.  A restaurant that did that would have to devote money to the franchisees instead of improving the product at the first restaurant, and since the chain is not profitable, there isn't enough to be good at either.  The chain would likely fail.

We chose scrypt first because it is the largest algorithm.  If we can get about 100 GH/s, then the pool will be proven and we can devote resources to then take over the x11 market.  In the meantime, we devote all our resources to adding features to the website (which hasn't been given much attention for a year), and to achieving complete stability.

agreed on the basis of mastering ...

but there is no use of a restaurant that serves one dish with no other choice of foods ... especially for customers that are allergic to the majority of foods ...

without a choice in algos - you restrict your success to only a part of the market ... pushing away those who mine other algos ( especially the optimized gpu market - which is now one of the largest markets ) to other pools ...

there is no way our farm will be mining scrypt - no matter how big we get ...

tanx for the notice ...

Too bad Wafflepool ended (?) up the way it did. It remains me that I need to update my ratings of pools on a regular basis.

I like this phenomenon of new profit switching pools popping up, the big switching pools need more competition, hell middlecoin charges higher fees then btcguild (and they merge mine namecoin at the same time while you mine btc) and yes middlecoin is good not complaining, but 3.5 % fee is a bit of a steal, but they can get away with it as long as there is no quality competition.

Our pool, www.zpool.ca is only 2% and multiple algos.

Cheers

I have the original Cryptsy Wallet for LitecoinX (2014 Chain) with nearly 5 million coins in it. If you are a developer please contact me, as it seems a bit of a waste for it to be sitting here doing nothing. Maybe we could offer some restitution for the people who owned LitecoinX on the exchange, thousands of transactions are in the wallet which could be used as proof for people who lost coins on Cryptsy. The coins are all currently unconfirmed as we would need someone with the old part of the blockchain to share the original chain to confirm them. Please let me know if anyone is interested in re-developing the original chain so we can help give back to the people who's money Cryptsy stole (I was one of them).

A distribution to the ones who were taken advantage of might just be exactly what we need to regain interest in LitecoinX coin and re-energise people to start a new chapter for this coin. We have the best name, we just need to regain the people who were originally involved so we can all enjoy this resurgence together.

Please PM me if you can help. Thanks
