This group buy has sold out. Group Buy #6 is now open https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=507600.0. Or for more info about our cooperative and to get the latest news on new group buys check out http://coinninja.com/

Now open! A final batch of Antminers escaped China before the Chinese New Year! We are hashing at full capacity 5.7TH with 30
Antminers! The Scrypt rig is hashing on 6 out 7 cards.

Get both SHA-256 and Scrypt hashpower with this combo group buy! Group Buy consists of 30 ANTMiners and One 7-card R9 290x rig.

Everything has been ordered and paid for, no waiting for the group buy to complete. We guarantee a live hashing date of Friday February 7th (for the Antminers, the Scrypt rig may take a couple extra days; it is a prototype after all).  We have beaten our guaranteed live date on EVERY group buy so far (Group #3 beat it by a week!). Want more Scrypt? Group Buy #5 is live now, private owners only https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=453536.0 ~ add 300kh/s+  to your weekly hashing with no additonal hosting fees!  We're launching a professional miner colocation company and will be doing more group buys in the future. We have 10MW worth of power at our disposal!  There are a total of 300 shares for this Group Buy.

Who am I?
I'm an open source developer, and a Bitcoin mining hardware addict. I've run out space at several mining locations, and finally "bit the bullet" and moved into a world class datacenter. We are talking about a 24 hour security (multiple redundant power systems, back-up generators, back-up back-up generators, pre-chilled water tanks for back-up cooling, retina-scan access) professional data center. I am the Meetup coordinator for the Arizona Bitcoin Meetup group (now 110+ members strong; Bitcoin is kicking ass in PHX!!!). I've met many people from Bitcointalk and prominent members of the community in person as well. I've run a few Bitcoin related projects, designed my own Bitfury USB miner (ouch on that story), and pretty much eat, sleep, drink, live and breathe Bitcoin 24/7/365.

A full-time employee at the datacenter is a group buy owner. Our hardware is getting the coldest spot in the house, and will be well supervised! No more intense heat, fire risk, angry wife, or surprise electric bills. Let us host your miner(s) in an ICE COLD datacenter.

This Group Buy Includes:
  • 30 Bitmain ANTMINER S1 Units
  • 1 - 7 card R9 290X Monster Scrypt Rig
  • First 30 days of ANT hosting included FREE!
  • Power supply rental included FREE!
  • Miners hosted securely behind a firewall: priceless

The ANTMINER S1 Units are power competitive with offerings in the 28nm range, so they should perform well up until the difficulty is up to 300M. Being hosted in a professional data center gives the group buy owner the advantage of the best uptime and lowest ping times to the pools to reduce stale shares. If the majority of group buy owner agree, we will adjust the clocks to extract the maximum potential hashrate from the ANTMiner ASICs. Our cage should be ready for this one, so it will go there.

Terms

Payouts will be paid weekly. After the first 30 days, monthly hosting fees of 149.99 per unit ($14.99 per share) will be assessed to the group buy. No additional management charges apply. The hosting charges will be deducted at the exchange-rate obtained by the group buy from a provider such as Coinbase. After 90 days of weekly hosting (120 days from start of mining), you may choose to pay your monthly fees in USD, so that you can keep the maximum amount of bitcoin that your hardware generates. If you own a multiple of 10x shares, you may choose to take physical possession of your hardware, after the initial 120 day period. NOC fee and shipping fee NTE $99 per unit apply. The group buy will be responsible for paying the hosting fees on the 7-card Scrypt rig based on it's total power usage, currently estimated at $599/mo.

You agree as a group buy owner to host your hardware with us for a total period of at least 120 days. If at any time thereafter the weekly earnings of the miners are insufficient to pay the hosting fees, the group buy owners shall make up the difference in USD. Non-payment of hosting fees/deficit will result in forfeiture of ownership rights to the hosted hardware. Any and all payments are due when invoiced; 30 days late constitutes default and will result in forfeiture of your fractional ownership. The 7-card Scrypt rig is owned by the group collectively; we expect to be hashing with it for a long time to come.

How to Buy

Send [btc]0.295 x the number of shares you would like to the common group buy payment address:

Closed - See Auction

ACH Payments available on request via PM, at the preev.com rate.

Current owner loyalty bonus: If you currently own shares in Group Buy #1-#3 you may purchase at a reduced price of  BTC0.259

ANTMiners are sold out, and they are closed until after the holiday.

Each fractional share represents 1/10th of an ANTMiner S1, approx 18-20GH (w/ overclock), plus 1/300th of a 7-card R9 290X rig. This is close to half off the current price for hosted hashing on Cex.io, and a much better value overall compared to buying ANYTHING else out there.  You get hashes NOW, no waiting for lengthy pre-orders.

IMPORTANT: You will receive your payout to the FIRST address that is used as an input to this transaction. Make certain that this is an address that you control, and not an exchange or off-blockchain wallet service. You will be required to sign a message using the first input address to verify ownership of your fractional hardware.

FINCEN Compliance: This group buy is hosted in the US and geared toward US persons who would like to take an ownership position of Bitcoin mining hardware. You are buying a fractional ownership of the hardware. If you own a multiple of 10x shares, you may choose to take physical possession of your hardware after a period of 120 days. The group buy coordinator is NOT offering any type of security or financial product, rather we are selling fractional ownership of physical hardware and providing hosting/management services. Out of an abundance of caution, we reserve the right to collect KYC information from our customers. You may be requested to present an ID and recent utility bill to verify your identity. The group buy coordinator is not a money transmitter, and merely facilitates hosting of miners for group buy owners.

Watching closely.. after talking with Ninja and seeing the other GB's he seems to have the best thing going by a long shot.
Should we assume this is another 300 share GB?

Yes, it will be another 300 shares. We're going to have our cage full before we even move into it! Good thing it has plenty of room for expansion.

About the scrypt miner:
Will it be used to mine different coins or just LTC? I would expect to mine different coins; the ideal strategy is to stay on top of new coins and convert to btc when their price initially peaks. There are other strategies to mining the most profitable coin, such as middlecoin and the like that we can also explore.

Will the coins mined be converted to BTC before distribution?
I would prefer to distribute in BTC, but this isn't set in stone either. Perhaps owners would like to receive LTC or Doge to diversify?

When you say prototype are there working units out there or is this just theory to be tested?
We haven't built the working unit (yet) but we have built numerous other GPU based rigs in the past.  We're going to try to fit it in 4U, but we will go to 8U and an expansion case if needed.  We are also exploring using a custom made frame. The motherboard/CPU is coming from a working GPU rig, and we are going to use USB risers.

Will this will be mining about the same time as the S1's?
Yes I expect to get this running in parallel with the S1's.  We've gotten deploying antminers down to a science as this point.

Is this a better value than just adding more S1's? Meaning if i wanted LTC would it be better to mine it or just convert BTC to LTC? From what i gather this will be an energy hog too.

Hard to say, certainly the GPU rig will hold it's resale better. It will give the group more flexibility to explore new currencies; for me it's more of a challenge (and more fun!).

2 Shares - .518 BTC

I think using a pool such as Middlecoin and paying out in BTC would produce good results and be the easiest solution.

Once we can guarantee the live mining date, then we will make it available to the public. For now we are still "developing" the offer and gathering feedback from owners. There are still a few shares left of group #2; once you are an owner with us then you will get owner pricing on future buys.

So for the GPU mining part were looking at about 20kHs per share right?

Thats a pretty fair estimate.  I'm having lunch with a custom crypto rig builder later this week; hopefully we can work out a deal to bring a BIG scrypt group buy together for Group Buy #5.

Looks like we are go for a Feb 6th install date for the next batch of Antminers, as always I will try to beat that date if at all humanly possible. This group buy will be live for the public starting tomorrow.

Anyone have a better idea than middlecoin for GPU rig?

It's BTC0.259 to preorder if you are already a shareholder in another of Ninja's groupbuys.  If not I have a feeling he'll have the price up tomorrow.

The easiest way would be just using Middlecoin, so you are mining the most profitable coin and don't have to deal with using exchanges to convert altcoins to BTC. That's what I personally use for my mini mining operation  Grin

I'm going to move some bitcoin around to be able to pay for 5 or 6 shares.

I would be really interested in getting Worldcoins (next to Litecoins for example). As WDC has (afaik) the most mature plan to get cryptocurrency into POS locations. With Scharmbeck having a Fincen certificated financial service there is a good driving force pushing it Smiley

You can just buy whatever coin you want if you think its price will increase, but when mining you should only care about what is currently the most profitable coin to mine.
