Bitcoin can change our future, our way of consuming, voting, sharing, working...
But its logo is attached to symbols of the past. BTC
Why the ₿ should look like the $,€ or ¥, while Bitcoin wants to change our economic model ?
Maybe to change the system, Bitcoin have to change its Logo ?
No, bitcoin does not need to change its logo, bitcoin will be more popular in the future even if still using old logo. I prefer the benefits of bitcoin and not the logo of bitcoin. |

anyone can have artisitic freedom of the symbol. after all take a look at the many different versions there are for the UK £  but with that said, here is an idea. to stop the squabbling between those that want to evolve the symbology, vs those that dont.. leave the BTC generally as is. but because the valuations are getting large. many people will move to 'bits' (100 satoshi / BTC0.00000100) so how about think of what the symbol for 'bits' should be as we still are not quite at a overall utility of bits for it to be much of a change |

I think everybody is very good at seeing the Bitcoin logo that is identical to Letter B, and it's so in keeping with the Bitcoin Name itself, so I do not think it will matter.

So you wanted to change the masterpiece of the person we are whooing in this era? I don't think so that we need to change the logo BTC in here, because of the reason that it is changing the art of the creator itself.

I think no need to change the logo of bitcoin. The logo doesn't matter. This was created by Nakamoto before 9 years ago. The was designed by him. We have to thank him. If we change the logo Most of the people not accept include me. Bitcoin is more valuable.

I think it's a bad idea. and that's not a good contribution to bitcoin growth.
that idea will only make the bitcoin fall more drastically again and has no value. because everyone has to adapt again with the new bitcoin logo.
and it will make bitcoin like a baby again.

Because it's a Thai baht symbol, the most suitable for typing the BTC name. Why should we bring a new symbol if the old one is fine? |

I love Bitboy design and in my opinion Bitcoin logo is just perfect. I would love to tattoo it on my forehead but it might looks a bit stupid. However, I'm pretty sure the official BTC logo will evolve during the time somewhere in the future (as it already did). But I feel like it's not yet the right time. Best wishes. |

You do not need to change the logo BTC. It will lead to nothing, on the contrary all have become accustomed to this logo. There can only be confusion. It is better to enter coins of gold and diamonds at a nominal value for collectors.  |

I don't think so - there is no need for us to think about new BTC logo, it's not the problem here. Bitcoin logo is just fine as it is, it is simple, easy to spot differentiate from other crypto/fiat logos and clear to understand for everyone. What is bothering me is fact that we have more than one "bitcoin' now and Bitcoin Cash has an awfully similar logo to old Bitcoin. This might be confusing for the untrained eyes. |

the current logo was pretty good and easy to remember that this is the icon of bitcoin and i don't think we need new logo because the current problem is how to makes bitcoin price high again and accepted for every countries in this world but not change bitcoin logo

As the majority says, there is no need to change the Bitcoin logo. I have read before that "the symbol was designed by Satoshi Nakamoto for the icon of an early version of the original Bitcoin client, though the very first versions of the Bitcoin client used "BC" instead of any special symbol." It was not changed since that. And the popularity of this currency is known all over the world, like how they know the logo/symbol of a dollar ($) and other fiat currencies. The question must be this one, "If ever Bitcoin changes its logo, will Bitcoin Cash change its logo too?"

Yeah, font styles offer some creative freedom. But we should not start considering a branding change while Bitcoin is fighting to get heard and recognized by a wider audience. The BTC is not affecting the price. If you want to help bitcoin grow in popularity go out in your world and introduce people to it. Ask merchants if they accept it as payment...and then be willing to USE it for payment if they say "Yes! Bitcoin accepted here!" You could even go so far as to buy 100s of Bitcoin Accepted Here stickers and put them on the storefronts everywhere, just generating the discussion and news will help with awareness and diffusing the "this is new and weird" mentality. |

why change the logo ?? it's simple and adequate. now it is almost a brand. you would never change the logo of a known brand of clothes or accessories. then,personally, i like it.

And what would be the exact reason for a change? Bitcoin is very well known at the current symbol and people recgonize it for it. The change of it could bring the opposite effect and people might not like it. No one likes the changes that are not necessary, especialy for something that is successful. This is very bad idea and will not bring anything good.

A logo evolves in the same way that a company evolves, Satoshi is an excellent engineer and a great visionary but I don't think he's a good designer.
the current logo that you commonly see as bitcoin logo is not designed by Satoshi, the idea is from his original design and idea but it has changed. if you think it is bad then feel free to give a suggestion or if you can design one, if it is good enough then we will use that as the logo. edit: the original design was not even a single "B" it was a "BC" according to this picture: (you can see the logo on top left corner)  Thanks for sharing this, it is interesting to see early versions of Bitcoin software. I seriously don't think the logo needs to change as it denotes value. All currency symbols look like this to denote value. |
