This is very good for the popularization of bitcoin around the world. ATMs will help people who have already started using bitcoins and possibly will be interested in new people.
Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

Do we really need bitcoin ATMs? Well, convenience-wise, it is helpful especially if you're on the go but since bitcoin's blockchain can be accessed online, then you can do transaction anytime, anywhere you are in the world by just using your smart phones.

3000 worldwide is small number. This only proves crypto is just started it's growing. I am sure we will see 1 mio. worldwide soon.

Altcoins no. also rising.  I will not be supersized if ATM will be there for no. of coins to deposit or withdraw.

Just those freakin fees are enormous, 4,5 even 8,9 percent per transaction, come on people thats really too expensive. But there will be more and more companies offering atm services and more competition will naturally reduce the cost of single transaction to 1-3 percent, eventually even lower than one percent per transaction...

It’s a good start. Although I think it’s quite a puny amount compared with the current population. They are still very inaccessible for a majority of people.

yes there are 3000 bitcoin ATMs worldwide, but i would argue that it depicts the growth of bitcoin. The reasoning is flawed because the number of users doing the transaction on these Bitcoin ATM's is not considered while making the argument.

I think the price of a bitcoin ATM is very different compared to the price on a website so it is not worth it to use bitcoin AtM.
If they have 3000 bitcoin atm worldwide it is good because bitcoin users and investors can easily buy and sell bitcoin.

This is good for crypto users. Having Bitcoin ATM will expose cryptocurrency and it will increase crypto usage.

It is always good to see the numbers of bitcoin ATM increasing constantly in different parts of continents around the world, because there will be more and more people who will take notice of bitcoin whenever they walk past a bitcoin ATM, and people who are starting to get interested in bitcoin might even spend some of their own money to purchase bitcoin for the first time in their life.

Yes, well put, + 1.

Over the past year or so I am seeing not only more BTMs, but some offering new features.

I too hope fees will come down, but remember that the owners of those machines must drive by to take cash out of the machines and that they must pay "rent" to the store owner and maintain their machines, all of which costs money...

it seems like a high number, but it is not enough. but there is a promising side. The important thing is that it can be used in more countries.

These are excellent statistics. I think this indicates that people are beginning to accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

An increase in the number of ATM bitcoins shows that the existence of cryptocurrency is getting stronger. in my country there is also a Bitcoin ATM but the distance is very far from where I live, so I don't know what is the advantage of buying bitcoin at an ATM rather than through an exchanger?

A great milestone in the world of crypto. It is a very good step in the right direction. This will really help propagate bitcoin to the rest of the world.

The new development is a welcome idea having a bitcoin ATM all over the place is going to make bitcoin more accessible and also help the market to grow wider, bitcoin is going to become the global currency and at that it availability is very important and Paramount so with the ATM bitcoin is going palaces.

Having ATM lying around sidewalks is another way to promote the digital currency and I think having only 3000 total is a number leaving a lot of room for improvement.

If this info is good to go by then it means bitcoins is gradually going to the mainstream. The world is always fascinated by new technology and most importantly something related to finance which gives freedom. Very soon Bitcoins will be use at every POS.

3000 ATMs are old indicators to date, there is much more and that number is increasing every day because bitcoin is quite strong in demand.

Don't know how much ATM's are worldwide but I have read that Australia is going to increase number of ATMs from 20 to 500. Argentina is going to install 200 ATM. I read on finder.com that there are almost 2000 bitcoin ATMs in USA and if I remember correctly, article was published in 2017 year. So if we sum up, we have to expect more than 4000 ATMs by the end of 2018 year.
I visited coinatmradar.com/countries/ <-- and seems they have right statistics but some mistakes too, they haven't removed some inactive ATM locations.
