Hey people, If I want to start mining litecoins from lets say next monday, and I want to make sure I mine 8 coins a day, 8 months long.. how much do I need to invest in Hardware? thanks a lot

For 8 LTC/day you will need 20 MH/s and that is 26 x R9 280X GPU's, make the Math....

You can predict how many coins you will make tomorrow, maybe next month, but 8 months is extremely long in the cryptocurrency mining world. We don't know yet what the effect of scrypt asics will be, we don't know how the next generation graphics cards will perform etc. So predictions about your profits in 8 months are extremely uncertain.

Good luck. There's no way of telling where the diff will be in a month from now. So to figure out how much KHs you need to make 8 coins a day for 8 months is nearly impossible.

I mine with 10500 KHS and I make just over 3 coins a day.. for the last 5 days, it was less before the diff drop.

It is a mistake to limit yourself to a singular coin.  Do Middlecoin.

I've been gathering anywhere from .1 - .4 btc (rare, but happens!) a day with ~13.2mhs.

you can really only see 3-4 days in advance... anyone who states otherwise is just guessing.
