Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I was out of gambling for a while because of my emotional gambling nature.
I try to do sports betting as mathematical as possible but often I get overwhelmed by loss.
I had decided not to bet above $100 on any bet.
Germany being my favorite team, I put a $500 bet against Mexico, which I lost.
That increased my frustration and I came to bet $1000 on portugal. And to my luck I won it at 1.65 odds.
But if I would have lost, I would have been cashless and betless for the rest of world cup.
I my life I have visited just one time to a casino with my friends. Two of my friends were regular gambler and they have lot of gambling experience but I and one other friend was not familiar with gambling. When we reached to casino they forced us to gamble just one time and I remember I won the bet and they told me that you are very lucky. You should gamble more but I refused.
These are only the friends who are responsible for the gambling of every person who used to be an intense gambler in his society because he himself wasn’t aware of gambling when he came in this world and the parents are the people who will always think for the good of their child and they can never teach him to go for gambling. The people left behind are friends who take him to gambling.

All I remember I was in college and suddenly we tuned into a FIFA match, and we harmlessly put a bet of 10$ I have absolutely zero idea when those bets turned to 1000 and once mad bet of 10000 (I had zero funds was deep down in gambling debt decided to take a risk call and it paid off). I do occasionally gamble but now I'm able to control it, once you learn the fear of loosing your life is when you suddenly are able to control yourself.
Hmm. Once you understand there is a great chance of losing, the more you will be able to control the decisions you make. Nice one, even though I did a bit of rephrasing. The thing is a lot of people usually do not see the fact that relying too much on the outcome of gambling being positive is actually a very huge problem on its own and that can mar the person completely.

So it is better not to get too overwhelmed with winnings or emotional about losing and as long as you know it is not something you should be too attached to, you will know how to manage yourself.
I think when the gambler will come to know this thing that the chances of losing in gambling are much more than winning, I think not only he will leave gambling but also will come out of these financial crises that he has been suffering from years. But when I see people the way they are gambling in casinos with such a spirit, it seems impossible to me that they will stop.
This is the main problem here. We all know the consequences of gambling at any stage, but still these people are getting into this detrimental world. Whenever someone is interested in something, he surely gets some info regarding what are cons and pros of this and how I would be managing loss and all that stuff. But see, this never goes off in this gambling picture.

If you’re emotional gambling nature helps you to stay away from gambling after some moments in it, I think you are the blessed one among many others because this nature wouldn’t let you to face the consequences of gambling in the later part of your life.

However, most of the people win in sports betting even if they lose in other gambling game because it uses your knowledge and still you are unable to produce the good.

That was a huge risk to take and simply that is what gambling always end up doing to a lot of people as they want to simply recover their loss which was exactly what you just did but fortunately for you, you ended up getting lucky.

It starts just like that until you keep betting more and losing more and setting the odds even the more against yourself. It is better to stick to reality and know that the outcome could come out negative, and rather than get emotional, stick with that fact and move on.

I quit gambling long time ago when I was on the verge of becoming an addictive gambler. I used to gamble regularly with my friends and I found it entertaining until it started to affect my studies and social life. Then, I tried to reduced my gambling activities.

Then, I got rid of it completely as I got used to the new routine. It was hard from the beginning, but then you will get used to it because your time is filled up with other various activities
That's good to hear, you overcome your addiction to gambling. I am also like that before, I can't continue my life if I can't play gambling in a day, I always invited my friends, cousins and also siblings to play with me and bet, they also want it too because they are also just like me, when I finally notice that I am losing and just wasting my time every day, every single day of my life is just a waste of time, I am thinking to have another activity to have, then after that I also reduce my gambling games every day, until I totally stop playing with them.  Grin For now, I sometimes play but not that addicted just like before.
I think the people who overcome gambling in this life are blessed with the best because very less people are seen on real life who actually have made a victory against gambling because majority of the people return after facing a very bad defeat from gambling and that defeat doesn’t allows them to stand up for the next shot and compete for their survival.

It's the person's discretion if they want to stop the addiction that they have. It's whether accepting it that it's bad for you and making you less of a person (if you cannot control it). I think the regression that could happen if you win all the time is going to be a loss if you continue. I don't understand why you need to say survival, it's not to the death (except if you use someone else's money to gamble on)

1. How did you find yourself ending up to become an addict? What instigated it to the point that you just found yourself not being able to control the impulse any longer? What was the feeling like and during those period of being an addict, did you know and were you willing to pop out of it?
There's this site that I always visit and it became part of my daily routine. I started playing the time that I started earning, I used my profit in gambling, and when I have no funds, I even seek loans, these are the moments like you can't live without gambling. Until I reached the point that I can't pay my loans anymore. I'm really regretful, but still didn't stopped. Luckily I am able to pay my loans. That's the time I started saving, but sometimes, I still greed to win until I loss a lot.

2. What were the steps you took or the steps you are taking to get out from it, and on the scale of 1 to 10, how can you rate how you are doing now?
You can't remove your addiction instantly, you need to do it little by little. The first thing I did is to convert my cryptocurrencies to fiat, but it's also regretful as you just don't know if the price will go high. But at least, it helped me a little bit. But after some time, instead of converting fiat to crypto, I just seek for loans again, but am more careful now. Right now, I can somehow control myself.

3. For those who are out of it, do you still gamble or still wish you could? In the case where you are still gambling, how do you want to make sure what happened initially does not end up repeating itself.
Again, I can somehow control myself now. Less loans, less deposit on gambling sites, save more, convert to fiat if I need to.

You should feel lucky that you where able to recover the lost amount and made some profit out of it. Now do not spend those whole amount on betting unless you have extra money and can afford to lose it. Just if you cannot control yourself only play with those extra profit.

We know that everything here is up to the experience and your luck and besides it other managements are also contributing for your survival but winning of game is just depending upon the experience and luck. If a person is not doing well then he should stand away from the table for some time and should think how things work and after getting some experience his winning chances will increase.

Often people have the hidden "I want to become a millionaire" concept in mind which fuels the gambler inside them to take the risk - often forgetting the consequences and going all in. They all end up in the same cycle if they dont stop gambling. People should learn to put a stop on their habits otherwise this will continue forever.

Maybe this story has nothing with cases of real gambling addiction, but this days somewhere in Scotland opened a hospital which treat crypto addiction, yes, crypto one, there  is such apparently. Does anyone know of details of this story or examples of crypto addiction? Some people compare investing g and trading g of crypto currencies with gambling, so I think it has some contact with gambling addiction example.
I got a glimpse of this story few days ago and then I kept worrying what the whole idea is all about. How can investing in any way be compared to addiction ? I am not sure though, since while some people are investing, they actually do it with no knowledge and they make silly mistakes whatsoever by going in too big and then afterwards trying all means to recover from the volatility loss they have had or is this just a way from the hospital to send some message regarding how crypto can actually come with addiction ?

If it is by that, then I can as well say I am addicted to crypto since it makes life easier for me in terms of payment and I sure do not wish to get out of the addiction.
Your story is not according to the topic. The topic is about gambling stories and you told crypt addicted story. Anyhow it is nonsense and it means that the staff of that hospital in not in favor of crypto and they think it is not good for health. That’s why they think that crypto is an addiction and it should be treated. I am also crypto addicted and more happy than that hospital staff.
As funny as that last part sounds lol, you are actually right. It is still somehow related though since some people actually consider crypto investment as gambling anyways.

However, with what you have said, I do not expect how anyone in their sane mind will actually want to be treating crypto addiction or will even admit they should be treated. It should not even be called addiction actually since this is more of trying to do good for yourself as long as you are doing it right and like you said, a lot of us are even far better than the nurses in such hospital.

It's a dangerous habit, but it's a habit non the less so if you can't avoid it, it's better to try to control it. A good way is to put yourself limits. For example time limit if you play active games like Poker,BJ,slots etc etc. You can say 1 hour for example and then you go home,or 2 hours or just anything that you can stick to without crossing the line. Other good strategy is to put yourself profit/losses limit. For example tell yourself : "I start with $100. I either make them $200 and leave or make them $0 and leave". Don't get too greedy because in the end "the house always wins" and don't get too desperate and risk more and more money. Tell yourself "tomorrow is a different day. Things will be better. Don't lose too much today.". It is better to avoid that gambling loophole in general, but if you are stuck in it and don't plan on leaving - then learn to control yourself as much as possible and avoid tilting at all costs.
Yeah and the reason is that a gambler has no respect in society and all the people hate him even his family do not like a him. Controlling for a regular and addicted gambler is very hard but it is possible to stop gambling gradually. Strong determination is needed to quit gambling addiction. It is hard but not impossible. If a gambler thinks of his future he can quit gambling.
I know the main reason behind this fact for which I think a real life gambler has no respect in the society and that is reason is that because these gamblers are conducting something which is portrayed negatively almost everywhere and the people think that how the person who is conducting such a criminal like activity can be good in his life.
I agree with you a hundred a ten percent in this regard as these gamblers are conducting something which is considered to be a negative thing and the people who are conducting this thing, how they can be a good person and having this type of mindset, they always oppose these gamblers where ever they find them at some social place.

Maybe you are still winning for the mean time, but before your story would start changing, I would advise that you at least start cautioning yourself bit by bit and know how to limit yourself, so that you do not end up getting extremely screwed eventually as things go on. Also, do not be so at peace with the provably fair, as I have never for once trusted any of this.

I had my own lessons the wrong way in the past, and I quickly got past it knowing all this is just a sham to get your mind twisted into gambling.

I agree with your thinking but I personally think that there is a very little ratio of such people, maybe so little that we can easily neglect them. The reason that why these people is very small in ratio is because they themselves don’t want to be blessed by the overcoming of gambling and the thing which doesn’t allow them to do so is greed.

the first time the most influential on gambling addiction is the friend who is there. someone who first played gambling, and the next day would accept a call from a friend to play again. that's what I've experienced and it's so much fun. but when I accept defeat, it is very painful and that is why I started to leave gambling.
I remember my first betting with my friend in the age of 20 years. The bet price was our pocket money but we bet on a cricket match because in my country cricket gambling is on the peak. I won the net and was happy I got the money although he was my friend and we were not regular gamblers but I took the money and said that I would never left this money because of the bet.

be careful because if you stay for a long time, you can be an addicting person in gambling. you should know this before it's too late for you to leave that games. I see that you only use the faucet to place the bet and I think if you can use it in every time you play, then I think you can be safe for not depositing your own money in that site. this is really important for us because we don't want to lose any money in the gambling site, right? but remember, you need to limit your money and your time and don't spend all of your time in the gambling sites only.

Oh, that was quite a shady period of my life. Over the last year of college I earned a few hundreds of bucks and decided to rest. There was a small casino near my home, so decided to try gambling there. For me it ended up with spending days and nights in that place. Then I cashed out the deposit for university and lost everything. That was awful, but I couldn’t stop anyway. You might consider it funny, but I managed to stop thanks to local charity organization. There was a man, one of its members, who tried to help people like me. We talked with him only once, but we managed to discuss a lot about family, fate, future… Don’t know why but this man impressed me very much, so I accepted my addiction and started cure it. That was hard, yeah. Thanks my parents and friends, they helped a lot as well. Now I play occasionally and only in casinos which support responsible gambling. It's a way out for me, because I like gambling, but I don't want to become an addict again.

You sound to be having a good time with your gambling activity and not worried about getting addicted to it. Well there is nothing wrong in gambling anyways as long as you know how to handle it just make sure this will not make you broke or else you will regret knowing those sites.

I know that I got addicted because I can't stop myself from making depo after a loss eventhough I said in myself after a loss i'll make a depo tomorrow for atleast a little refresh but no i'll depo right away after a loss. I've tried to quit before, after that one loss i've realized that gambling is no good for me but then after a few months I came back again in my habit. I'm trying for my own good but it's really hard.

People who made the right choice to stay away from gambling are those people who wanted a change in their lives and yes its not easy to do it because you will get out something from your system but for as long as your faith is strong and you are motivated to do what is right I think you will win the battle. Everything is all in our mind if you can control your mind then you will make it, others who do not do it successful are the quitters and its sad to say that they are many of them.
