Just curious to read some addict or former addict stories and probably some of us like me will be glad to see how things actually did roll in for them during this period and I believe some other persons tending towards that path can also learn from it. Also, if you have a friend or relative you can speak for, it would be appreciated.

Personally, this is what I would like to know though.

1. How did you find yourself ending up to become an addict? What instigated it to the point that you just found yourself not being able to control the impulse any longer? What was the feeling like and during those period of being an addict, did you know and were you willing to pop out of it?

2. What were the steps you took or the steps you are taking to get out from it, and on the scale of 1 to 10, how can you rate how you are doing now?

3. For those who are out of it, do you still gamble or still wish you could? In the case where you are still gambling, how do you want to make sure what happened initially does not end up repeating itself.

4. Any other thing you feel you can add is welcome.
Gambling addiction stories . in gambling addiction no one can stop you even of you don't have money you will find a way to have none and plate gambling but this is bad to your health yoi can get a sick because of gambling.

That is why we need to remember that we don't have to play gambling for a long time. Become addicting in gambling is too dangerous, we can get broke without having any money plus we don't have any chance to recover the money we used to play before. But maybe we could still play gambling to get fun with our friends, and of course, we need to know the limit of time and money we should use so we can prevent to lose all of the money.

Thee are many gambling stories out there, some good , some sad yet we still make new addicts every day. I don't think the sad stories alone will get future addicts to stop but rather the society must offer hope such that if I know I can earn say 50$ by washing plates for 48 hours I will rather make my 50$ that way and not through gambling.

In washing plates you are sure you will be getting 50$ but in gambling either you can make the same amount or lose out completely depending upon the luck and the game which you will bet on. People who have excess and lose out is fine but for needy it is quite bad.

We will make money through gambling only when we have enough luck, as you can see sometimes we may make higher amounts in order to start continuously gambling. Once they are making money they will start addicting to it.

We will make money through gambling only when we have enough luck

Since when you profit ONLY when you have luck? I can just martingale 10x and leave with profit...
By washing plates your income is confirmed and your mind is clear but in gambling you can even make thousand dollars in an hour but it is not guaranteed and nay lose your $50 in seconds. What verdict do you get from this scenario? When there is a risk the profit will be high and when there is no risk and the income is confirmed you will get less. Don’t fool yourself and don’t compare job with gambling.

I got a friend who can't live without gambling even for a day,he is much older than me and he is working in a company and getting salary to cover his life expenses but he got the desire to be a richer person so he tr gambling everyday and he hoping that someday he will be a millionare but he is just losing all his hard earned money.

Hoping to become a millionaire from gambling is a false expectance and the risk will definitely be so high. With this hope it means that he will continue to try until his dream is achieved and that can take a very long time. Or even he could fall bankrupt before his ambition were reached.
Believing in the gambling game will only make destruction in one's life. This is a reality because many people already believe in gambling, even though in the end they experience addiction and fail to face these difficult conditions. It's better to avoid gambling games from now on and make your life much better !!!

Don't risk our future !! Believe that there are many other things that can lead us to success.

The same case is with many people. They want to be rich in short time but it is just their desire and they choose gambling to fulfill their desire. But I want to say that if it was possible everyone would be a gambler now because everyone wants to make money as soon as possible. The result always differs from the expectations and they even lose the money for their daily expenses. Their life conditions become miserable gradually.

That is usually the way I see it most of the time. When you are so engrossed in the act of gambling that it gets to the point where you are beginning to over think things or assuming it would set you up for life without getting in terms with reality that it is just a game of luck, it would be like seeing a very huge ditch in front of you and deciding to jump into it, and that apparently, will affect your future hugely.

Gambling is something that has really made a lot of people who were not cautious of limiting themselves to get addicted and that was because they expected so much, reality kicked in and then they start chasing loss recovery.

I have many gambling stories but today I share a short story with you. One day I was on the way to my home from casino. There I met a friend stand in the way. I asked him what you are doing here in midnight. He told me that I was going to home with a lot of money which I won in gambling. Some guys were chasing me because they know that I have big money in my pockets and robed me. Took all my money. Now I wonder what to do. I told him you can do nothing. Just go home.

That is the thing and that is the main reason I see those pursuing gambling at all cost are the ones looking for the easy means to make money and then not knowing there is more to life than just gambling.

Gambling can at least bring something huge but it is extremely rare and most of the people who have concentrated on that aspect mostly over the years, do not always get to have the best in life in the long run, as they get it ruined from addiction and in such condition to say the least, it is always a bad thing for anyone to be having a huge expectation from gambling.

Yes, that is great advice for your friend. In the end, he was losing a lot of money because other people know that he has that money. At least, he can save his life although he loses his money. Maybe in out there, many people got robbed like your friend because of winning gambling game and like you say, he cannot do anything. Next time, if he wants to play gambling, he needs to ask his friend to go with him so he can have someone that will walk at his home.

Yeah right, but most of those who choose  gambling and play with luck are people who mostly in need, they chooses this venue to try multiplying their money and most of the time ending it up losing as time passed and greediness will eat them up, a lots of stories has been shared here about this type
of failures and it didn't change anything, maybe for people who still have a good mindset, its far better to work to earned than wasting your time and
lose choosing gambling to make money.

That is some point there bro and I must say a lot of people that got addicted one way or the other found themselves trying to see how they can set up themselves for life by acquiring wealth from gambling with the little they have, but that is a very grave mistake a lot of them end up making at the end.

Addiction stories start from the point where the person decided to see something meaningful in gambling when it comes to making money and decided not to face the reality that comes with losing in gambling, and if such a person fail to admit to that reality, getting addicted becomes inevitable at the end. There are so many ways to earn, but because people keep looking for shortcuts to success, they always end up getting screwed in the process.
Luck is just a factor in gambling and not a guarantee for winning the game. My friends who are gambling adductors told me several times that they even lost very easy and simple games not in casinos but in sports betting. It is their luck and sometimes they won unbelievable games, it is also their luck but mostly they look the performance of the tram and then bet.
In my country gambling is strictly prohibited and no one is allowed to gamble. But still lots of gamble because they are addicted and cannot quit gambling. I want to tell you that I have spent some days in prison because I was caught by police due to gambling. They arrested me in gambling place because no casinos here and took the entire gambler including me and took in jail for few days. After that they released us on bail, but that was a bad experience for me.

This is really the tough time as winning from gambling itself is huge tough and after get getting robbed will hurt him. But quite sure that probably those guys would be inside the casino as they were aware you won the amount and would have chased or asked somebody else to follow you.

In addition to the time limit needed to gamble, we must also be able to limit the capital we spend to gamble so it is not easy to just spend all the money we have to play gambling because there is always a sense of curiosity that is there to win the match

Gambling also allows for big profits, so if you're not prepared for it, then you don't deserve to big win, you should be prepared like having a strategy of how to bring the benefits that you get safely, because you know that there are many bad and greedy people in casino

~
Its easy to become rich over a long period of time but who wants to be a millionaire when they are in their 60s.

Firstly, if it was so easy we would have a lot of rich old people, but this is not the case in most countries, although it can be so, to some degree, in the most developed countries. Secondly, it's only when you are young you think old people don't want to be rich. In my opinion, old people need money much more than anybody. Think of the meds they need to take on a daily basis.

You can enjoy wealth much more when your younger, thats why a lot of people gamble.

People should gamble when they enjoy the process, not when they need more money. As it was said many times on this forum, it's a very bad idea to gamble in order to have profits.

But on the opposite end, there are mega wealthy people that gamble even though they are rich.  I suspect it is juts an adrenaline rush thing, there end goal is not actually the money.

You are right but only partially. Yes, many rich people gamble for the sake of the rush, but I think you've heard that no one can be rich enough to stop wanting more, or a very few people can anyway. So, even millionaires gamble in hopes of becoming billionaires.

For most part of it actually, if you can control yourself, which is usually what will determine if you end up an addict or not. A lot of people who gamble today actually tend to find that a whole lot hard to do.

Watch out the level at which some people put in too much emotion into gambling like their life depends on it, and then try to acquire some huge wealth through it which makes them most of the time to keep driving themselves so hard to the point that the eventually get addicted, and this is how I actually believe that addiction really starts.

Personally I knew gambling from crypocurrency especially bitcoin so I try to gamble on dice because of their amazing promo.

I know gambling long before the crypto currency. I had experienced some problems at that time and had stopped for a while before crypto finally took me back to the world of gambling. Yes, the offers provided by gambling sites using crypto currency and the simplicity that we can get have brought me back to gambling even though my gambling activities are not as great as before.

Gambling addiction stories when I am kid I like playing cards and dice I don't know why but I really want gambling but she I was 15 like that I don't wanna play gambling anymore because of gambling you can have a problems .

If you simply gambling means you will not be in problem, only if you are out of control about how much money and time spending on it.If you are like to do some particular games from childhood then there maybe a reason even like you can play that game on winning streak for many times but don't try when you are out of money.

I used to gamble everyday ,morning until dawn with my friends or neighbors, at first all I want was to enjoy myself but later on even how many times I loss still I keep on coming back hoping that I can win. I've been a iresponsible mother with my son and depend my responsibilities to my parents. I onced pawned my jewelries or valuable things just because of gambling that's how addicted I am in gambling now I am thankful that I can control my addiction. Yes, I still play but it is not like before I know my priorities and I do not want to risk my family just because of gambling.
Thats one of the greatest thing that might happen to every gambling addict,to have a chance of getting out from this vulnerability and find way of making life more valuable than being a gambling addict

Though i dont consider my self a gambling addict wayback, but i use to spend even my school allowance just to bet in our local bettings
