I can't speak for everybody, but I'm in it for the long haul, guy. I'm holding AT LEAST until MRY is in the top 10 market cap.

"Another point of frustration is that it's possible we won't hit the runway until after the Caddyshack Charity Golf Tournament on March 27th and 28th."
Didn't this already pass?

A Murraycoin golf ball marker would be awesome. They could be sold by the truckload in pro-shops, with a percentage of profits to the Murray Bros. Foundation.
When will we be able to pay for a round of golf with Murraycoin?!

To avoid confusion, I removed BigWait's post (which was simply a repost of an old update). I will be providing an actual update this week along with the updated Murraycoin clients.

Will definitely try to get the new client out this evening, guys - thanks for your patience. A busy week was made even busier with finalizing taxes. The update should fix the handful of reported glitches occurring with large transactions getting "stuck" (why this update is considered high priority) in addition to adding checkpoints and the ability to donate to the Murray Bros. Foundation directly from the wallet.
Looking further down the road, we're hoping to move to the latest Bitcoin source by May; we have a few remaining hurdles that will take priority, however, and could push that update back further. Luckily most of you are probably more excited about what happens in-between than minor tweaks and updates to the client.
We should have our full team back and be firing on all cylinders soon. In the meantime, it's good to see the MRY value continuing to hold steady. If all goes according to plan, things are about to get interesting.
I do apologize for my minimized availability, but assure you I'm continuing to move the pile behind-the-scenes. I appreciate the community chipping in and picking up the slack during this slower period - several of you have been an integral part of keeping things rolling along. I'm definitely looking forward to having all items checked off so we can begin shifting our focus toward marketing (no crypto-currency has ever had this level of marketing potential).

The only two things that are certain in this world are Bill Murray & taxes. Thanks for the update, B!

MRY could quadruple overnight and I wouldn't sell. Cryptsy scared the crap out of me yesterday though when they were having technical difficulties and a bunch of people had incorrect balances. Guess they fixed it though.

Average mining profitability over past 14 days (vs LTC)*
#1 - MRY (138.87 %) #2 - EMC2 (130.37 %) #3 - FLT (125.04 %) #4 - POT (119.13 %) #5 - DOGE (118.98 %) #6 - LTC (100.00 %)
*Coins with at least 10 BTC in exchange volume over past 14 days
Leading a short list of only 5 coins is pretty awesome since we're still just playing the waiting game. Since I switched to exclusively MRY a couple weeks ago, I've been selling about 1/3 I mined and keeping the other 2/3. Basically, I'm hanging onto the MRY equivalent of what I'd be getting mining LTC and pocketing the cream off the top. Mining MRY exclusively has had a higher ROI than mining at multipool.us over the past 2 weeks. It sucks that multipools are hitting it off and on but luckily the difficulty formula prevents a huge spike in difficulty that scares people away - it rises just enough to bump the multipools off while still staying reasonably low. The biggest downside to the multipools hitting MRY is that I have noticed a rise in orphans but that's to be expected when the network speed spikes up 10 times in 90 seconds. Out of the 60,833 blocks that have been found at FusionHash there have only been 18 total orphans so I suppose I can live with that! 80 times fewer orphans than EMC2, 50 times fewer orphans than FLT, 30 times fewer than DOGE, and 20 times fewer orphans than POT, for example. The list above doesn't even reflect orphans (it assumes 0%) so if we factored orphans into the equation MRY would extend its lead even further. EMC2 is hitting orphan blocks ~2.5% of the time and FLT nearly 2% - what a waste.
