I haven't mined any since the fork and switch to Scrypt-2048, but is it possible you need to be using different mining software than what's in that reddit post?

Basically, Scrypt-2048 is a different algorithm than litecoin, so it needs different software. At the moment murraycoin can be mined with the same software as vertcoin.

I looked here:

https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/3431-murraycoin-mry-information/

And in the first post there are links to CPU miners and source code that seem to be up to date.

Perhaps that would get you mining?

Absoulte perfect!  I have no idea how i missed it Smiley

I used the Windows CPU Miner (https://www.amazon.c...nSuMm5b8Ldi-jiA) and inside that zip was a start.bat file where i added the fusion hash url along with username and worker username and password.  Cl;icked go and worked straight away!

One thing I found with the link is the both firefox and chrome will block the download but IE will allow it.  Temp disable your AV real time scan before unzipping the file as it will remove the minerd.exe.  Once you unpacked, add that folder to the av exceptions list and you be all good Smiley

So I talked to Mike Rotman (of Take My Bitcoins) last night, he's interested in doing a MRY promo and/or giveaway of some sort for an episode in November. I think it would require some BTC and/or cash to put that together, but I like the idea!

I got a DM from him on Twitter a few days ago. He contacted the writer who did the Post & Courier article, so now it includes some quotes from Brock as well.

In other news, I have a friend who is a very talented graffiti-style artist, he thinks Murraycoin is a really cool idea & would be down to sell his artwork online exclusively for MRY. Just need a web developer (and funds for hosting etc.) to make that happen.

All this press is awesome. If you check out the articles, they generally have lots of shares on social media, too.

What’s next from the dev team?

I’m eager for the new website, and / or whatever else. Seems like others are too.

I am not the dev, but I hold a large amount of MRY so I have been doing everything I can to see it move forward and reach the masses.

As I mentioned in Octocoin thread, it's not a good policy to fling accusations before all information is available.

In other news, MRY has been added to the Cointopay platform, so now businesses can start accepting MRY as payment for goods & services!!

I don't consider this to be proof of any wrongdoing on bholzer's part, and I strongly advise people not jump to any conclusions just yet.

+1

and octo people, keep this in your own octo thread and via PM with holzer

i agree. just because we are having issues and discussing certain links on the Octo board doesn't mean we should come here slinging accusations. we do not have any hard evidence to say such things. Bholzer checks the Octo board when he's logged into bitcointalk.org... and no need to ruin anything in Murraycoin based on assumptions.

my posts in Octo are simply to solicit a response from the Octo devs with our current situation. all the Bholzer links are happenstance and only there because ppl use google and because he's the only link we have to non responsive devs.
