About that sentiment.  It's so common for people to predict the end of Asset X when Asset X is in a downtrend, and the reverse happens when it's in a bull market.  You see this in the mainstream financial press all the time, so not surprisingly people do the same thing on bitcointalk.  Right now it seems like everyone is pretty pessimistic about bitcoin after the nice big drop we've seen, and I'm sure everyone was just like this after the Mt. Gox crash in 2014.  Me, I'm staying positive.  I think bitcoin is going to rebound.  I don't know when, and I don't know how much it's going to go up, but I don't think it's all doom and gloom by any means.

Generally, you can really sees people saying negative things about bitcoin especially to those who doesn't really know what bitcoin is.

Take for example in our local community in my nearby house, they learned that Im involved in bitcoin activities and their response, "I think bitcoin is scam" "Bitcoin is not a real currency" etc. It's like the usual response for those who doesn't have an idea what bitcoin is.

I think you wrongly understand the Bitcoin this is also Cryptocurrency and it will not a anytime because it is decentralised cryptocurrency so no one is control this coin but supply and demand is major role in price variation and last year is the big hype in all the coin so many peoples are earn the profit. This year also will raise soon but we must wait see future results because many companies and countries are implementing the Bitcoin so definitely this will going to moon in future but everyone expectation is quick profit so this is not a place. I somehow agree but I take into consideration its high volatility in the market. If I want to focus into long-term investments, I usually diversify by splitting into multiple investment mechanisms and not just relying on bitcoin alone. I consider stocks as my long-term investment and bitcoin as my short to mid-term investment depending on the price change.

I don't understand why you think of bitcoin investing is like throwing money to the garbage. Sorry, but I don't know where you coming from with this mindset. I advise you to really understand how bitcoin investing works and go back and say if it's truly wasting your time in money here. Those bitcoin haters is either don't have the money to invest on it, or they don't know how its operate simply as that. Yes, its been embraced by a lot of people globally, so there's no need to fear and you should join in. But as the saying goes, invest what you can afford to lose. Meaning, don't put all your money in bitcoin, a little as 10%-20% will do and see how it goes for you.
