I, too, just got back from vacation and still have quite a bit of bitcoin tied up in Bitblender.  If someone can contact me on how to recover the funds, I would appreciate it.

I sympathise with anyone who has been away, I've been caught out in this way previously and had the same negative rules applied to me for not being present during some sudden news and weather change that caused me loss.     Its really not acceptable or even legal imo and I will proceed with trying to get what is owed back for as long as I can and I hope people here are successful similarly

Blablabla assumption this, assumption that. Fuck you man. You have no idea what he was using a mixer for. Not every person is a grandesque money launderer. Most people are just regular folks preserving their privacy.

Also, you're a filthy hypocrite. You're promoting a gambling site, you know that right? By your standards, who knows what they are doing, and in how far their business is actually legit. Perhaps they're inflating their betting amounts and laundering millions and millions in the process.

Huh, you use monero? I thought only money launders used privacy-oriented coins?

LOL, in the light of what's happening in the mixer scene you still advertise for a mixer which is most likely infiltrated by governments? I guess you are THE ignorant motherfucker.  Grin
Hurt much? So sad that you can't get paid to troll ChipMixer anymore. Undecided

Now stop with the off topic. You're not getting paid for that anymore.

Blender has vanished. I'm starting to think that they really used the situation to exit scam with their user's funds. There is no excuse to simple run away after 2 days (without any warning in their website) without caring about everyone else. They even kept deposits enabled! There are users that tried to mix AFTER they announced their closure (with just an one-line post in here) and have lost their money.

Prove it and i'll happily remove my signature.

You're kinda forgetting the part where you trashed chipmixer, only to then go on to promote a mixer which kind of exit scammed a couple months later, only to then smirk at users who've lost their funds in the campaign thread of said mixer you promoted... That's just cruel.  Undecided

calm down boy, if Newbies using an anonymous mixer like an online wallet and it disapears for some reasons you call it a exit scam? really?  Roll Eyes

the concept of chipmixer has the flaw you have to trust an private key which is known by the mixer. "not your your keys - not your bitcoins" or in this case "private keys that are known to an other party are worthless because you have to trust the other party"

and the flaw will not become less a flaw if the mixer is paying one of the highest in a signature campaign. (by the way I doubt you will stop promoting it if something happened with chipmixer. we had the case in the past)

Prove it and i'll happily remove my signature.

boy, there is a logic flaw in your argumentation. if someone want you using a service which is probably infiltrated by third parties you cannot prove it because if you can prove it it's no secret anymore.  Grin

as I said before time for trust in a mixer had come to an end.

A mixing round runs within seconds, its anonymity set can go beyond a single CoinJoin transaction's if needed, and its DoS resilience presumes a transaction fee environment above $1 Bitcoin.

if you're here to learn and not for the entertainment only you will find a lot of usefull discussions to apply better privacy in your (daily) use of Bitcoin.

It surely didn't stop you from promoting Bitblender so what are you trying to say here?

what I'm trying to say is that you have to trust a private key of the centralised mixer just for the time of mixing your coins (exception: some Newbies used mixers as an Bitcoin online wallet) and in the case of chipmixer the private key is created by chipmixer and you have to move your coins from this chipmixer private key to your own private key afterwards.

two flaws here:

1. laziness and costs: to move the coins again you have to apply an extra step and it will cost you fees. if Newbies tend to use a darknet(!) mixer as an online wallet I'm very certain a large portion of users of chipmixer don't move the mixed coins from the chipmixer private key to an own private key afterwards.

2. privacy: the chipmixer private key is known to chipmixer (and other parties?). if you want to have real privacy you have to move the coins away from the chipmixer private key with an additional mixer with extra costs. how mad is this? I admit there is no way to avoid the danger of logs or other instruments of sharing the secrets of the mixing process also if you use other mixers like bitblender. you have to trust the mixer in any way. therefore again, time of mixers had come to an end.

Its almost a week since its last online and i admit that the said announcement is pretty short for other people to know about such notice and able to pull out their funds.
I do see their site isnt still wiped out but they do retain that mixing using through TOR. Theres no such updates or whatsoever on their current condition thats why
we cant conclude anything yet as of this moment.

I thought the same. It is too soon to judge everything with BitBlender. I agreed that BitBlender reacted and communicated badly with their users this time (very short announcement, and did not state how long withdrawals will be opened for their users before the site totally shut down). However, I have a vague feeling that (maybe) the BitBlender was just over panicly with the shit happened with Best Mixer, and reacted this way. Let's see what's next weeks. I hope that when things cooled down, they might communicate more transparently and allow their users more time to withdraw funds.

Shouldn't people just start using GRIN instead and be done with the mixing services?
I suppose it's not as helpful as mixing services because there are cases when you just want to send BTC and nothing else, but overall GRIN has many advantages,
A) You don't need to trust a 3rd party (the mixing service) to send anonymously.
B) It's even more anonymous than mixing services since you can transact without even having a public address, but instead by exchanging a transaction file with the other party *.
C) There are no fees to be pay in a 3rd party and even the network fees are very low.

*I don't 100% understand how this works, so I might have said something wrong in point B. If anyone cares, you can try understand it more deeply by reading here: https://medium.com/@brandonarvanaghi/grin-transactions-explained-step-by-step-fdceb905a853

I guess it's still a bit too complicated to use GRIN, but hopefully this will change soon in order to provide people who want anonymity so badly with a great alternative to mixing.
