Bonjour dear Bitcoiners of france,

I am sorry I don't speak french. Everytime I try in france or belgium I receive an answer in german and discover french people speak better german than I speak french. So this thread is in english. Excusez-mois.

In this thread you can ask me questions about bitcoin.de. If you have problems with our service, I can give you advices and direct your request to our support team. We want to serve you as best as we can, so I am also curious about your experiences with our marketplace. Don't hesitate to ask and tell, I am open for critique.

Merci Smiley

For your information I buildet a little flyer figuring out the most important facts about our marketplace.

New @ bitcoin.de:

- 2-Factor for everyone: we enabled 2-factor for every customer. You have three options: 1) Yubikey (soon you can order the stick from your profile on bitcoin.de) 2.) Google-Authenticator (or some other OTP [one-tokken-password]) on your smartphone 3.) most simply, but not as secure as the other options: email. We send you the tans.

- we enabled a "read-only-version": If you enable it, you can loggin without a tan, but only to read.

- choose the bank of your trading partner: on your marketplace you can sort the offers due to the bank or banking group. If you share a bank with your trading partner the transaction happens faster

- new chart: you see it. If you have questions - I'm here

- automatic suspension of people which don't pay the check: We received some complaints about traders ordering bitcoins but refuse to pay. Especially with dancing prices this is annoying. Now people who do so repeatedley are automatically suspended.

- coming soon: a subwallet for your taxes. After 12 month we give you a confirmation you didn't spend / sold the bitcoins. In germany income from bitcoins is taxfree if you hold them 12 month.

Questions are welcome.

Hello

How will this work ?

We have to let the coins in the web wallet ?

I have personnaly moved my purchases from bitcoin-QT wallet to paper wallets. Do you have a way to link my purchase with the first deposit adress, so I can prove that I'm still possessing the coins I bought on your website ?

I just have kept my purchase list, thinking it should be enough. But nothing identify the coins in it.

To be honest I don't know in detail how it will work ... I also don't know if you need something like this to proof it against you financial authority. We just try to make it easier for you.

I think we will experiment with several solutions, hot wallet, cold wallet, read only, -- I don't know and think we will see how it plays out. In our forum we have a thread about our marketplace, now also in english, https://forum.bitcoin.de/forums/31-Marketplace-Bitcoin-de, if you can post your circumstances and your wishes here the chances are higher we discuss them internly.

Some news from our marketplace to keep you up to date:

Security
  • We have improved our login security. We can’t tell you many details, but the most visible change will be the captcha you’ll soon see there after failed logins.
  • We have also made reactivating your account after a series of failed login attempts easier – this has been too complicated in the past.
  • Additionally, we now provide a visual representation of the strength of your passwords, allowing you to judge how secure they are.
  • In the near future will will be implementing a YubiKey store on our site, allowing you to buy YubiKeys for Bitcoins. We recommend you do this, as we believe it is the most secure way to protect your account.

Trading

  • You may have noticed that we have already dropped our dollar charts. The reason is not that they weren’t useful, but that up to this point we have been using Mt Gox’s data. This no longer represents the real price. We will soon be displaying the CoinDesk price index (CPI), which is an average of several international exchanges.
  • Very soon we will be providing more detailed trading data, which will appear as follows: At the top you will see the price as a candlestick. In the middle are three- and 12-hour averages. At the bottom is the volume of coins traded.
  • Additionally, there is a new option when making an offer. It has previously been possible to choose a buyer or seller from a specific country, but selecting just one country to trade with meant unchecking all of the other options. We have now made this possible with just one click.
  • Enabling the country in which your bank is based is now obligatory. The reason for this is that in the past there have been extremely cheap joke offers, which have been made available for only one exotic country. This is no longer possible.

Funding
  • Finally, we have implemented the use of QR codes for funding your account. This makes it far easier for mobile users to transfer funds into our exchange.
