What is BellaCoin?

BellaCoin is a scrypt coin which is based off of Litecoin which came to be inspired by my daughter, Bella. Her favorites? Unicorns and flowers. That’s what you’ll find on a BellaCoin.

Why another alt coin, don't we have enough?

I'll agree in a heartbeat the alt coin market has beyond grown to beastly proportions.  However, my intentions and focus behind creating BellaCoin are pretty different from what's out there.  BellaCoin's primary objective and goal is to benefit children globally.  Organizations such as The Salvation Army and others that aim to help children in need are being reached out to by me with my plan explained.

What's your plan?

BellaCoin (BELA) will be given to participating organizations with voucher codes attached to amounts to give to donors as a "thank you".  What they can do in turn then is either save them, or spend them in the upcoming online storefront which will offer items only payable via BELA.  My daughter is my world and I love kids.  I'd rather do something meaningful with my knowledge than just something profitable.

Pre-mine?

Roughly about 30K or so are pre-mined for the sole purposes of the faucet I coded on the site, and to give to the aforementioned organizations free of charge.  Anything that runs out on the faucet moving forward from there will be donated via my personal BELA wallet.

Feel free to contact me with any questions and thanks for your support!

*NOTE*

There's currently two issues:
1) An issue with the official pool, please mine over at http://bela.coinmining.pw
2) The windows wallet crashes

The above is news to me, I've been working on this coin and supporting services for it for over a month and I'll do my best to get these issues resolved immediately.

When the wallet crashed it took all of my receive addresses with it. Including the address I set for auto payouts on coinmining.pw. So for the last few hours I basically mined for nothing since the pool is paying out to an address I don't have anymore. I backed up my wallet.dat, re downloaded blockchain without luck. Every time I shutdown the wallet it throws tons of c++ runtime library errors. I lose all addresses upon every restart of the wallet. If you need any more info to troubleshoot let me know.

I think think this is a noble thing you do for your daughter and coin doesn't look bad at all. but i think is not going to pass with all these other altcoins.
I wish you luck and happiness.

I'm so sorry dude, I didn't see any responses to this thread only the other.  This is the Windows client correct?  What's your pool username?  I'll find out how many shares you submitted and note down how many coins you're owed.  I'll take care of it, don't worry.  The new Windows client is in the works.  Do you have a Linux client by chance?

      Best regards,

Syntaks

Thanks Tompa.  It's not for her, it's for all children. =)  Her name is just on it.

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and apologize for lack of a *working* Windows wallet upon launch.  I felt completely stupid to be honest and disappointed but it's been re-built and re-tested.  Please let me know if there are any issues whatsoever or questions and I'll be more than happy to help.  The download link is: http://www.bellacoin.com/downloads/BellaCoin-win.rar

      Sincerely,

Syntaks

Mrjitter,

The only mining done was ~30k coins of 54 million total.  I explained that and the reason for it in my original post.  The one mistake if you want to call it that was that I posted late here while I had posted on another forum maybe several hours beforehand (out of respect for this board I won't post a link to or name the other forum but you can ask in private if you need proof).  I also explained that in my post.  If you think BellaCoin's a shitcoin, that's your opinion and I can't be mad at ya for it.  What I can tell you though is that I've done whatever I can from the ground up to try to make everything as fair and "perfect" as it can be and I've put my ass into my work.  If you'd support it, I'd be glad to have you be part of the community.  If not, I wish you the best of luck in crypto just the same.

      Best regards,

Syntaks

Nope guys.  I'm the only dev other than phark who compiled the Windows wallet and a few friends who helped along the way.  The OS X wallet should be ready tonight.  I honestly never heard "peacecoin" before you two posted it.

Addresses seem to stick now. The wallet.dat from the old wallet imported fine and the coins I managed to mine before I lost my previous addresses are there and confirmed. No more c++ errors. Mining another coin atm, but I might switch back to this one. Good work on the wallet and best of luck with your coin!  Smiley

Edit: I seem to be stuck at 6056 https://i.imgur.com/cokSuB5.jpg  Huh
