MaxCoin Pool

https://max.poolers.org

-Stratum
-VARDIFF
-SSL Encrypted web traffic
-DDoS Protection
-1% Fees

Anyone who pre-registers before the launch will lock in 0% fees for life!

Come get your miners ready.
https://max.poolers.org

Um, how do you have a pool for a coin that has no stratum miner?  WTF?

Well, it has been explained but I will save you the trouble of reading the last couple pages.  I flubbed and set it up thinking it was scrypt compatible. Then talked to rackaz in IRC and was told it is going to be. Then I watched people debate about whether it should or should not be. Now, I am just waiting to see what happens.

TBH I dont really know whats going on, from what it sounds like there is a chance my pool may work with this coin and a chance it may not.  Wait for more info from the devs.

Exactly, we need better communication from the devs.

Yes, it will be cloud minable.

You can find out how to set up your droplet here in a similar guide of mine: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=393173.0

I'll post specific details on how to cloud mine MaxCoin (SHA-3) right after launch -- stay tuned.

Q: So is it CPU only? Will I be able to use my Butterfly Labs ASIC when it arrives (... any day now...)?
A: Using Keccak as a hashing function renders current Bitcoin ASICs and the upcoming Scrypt ASICs useless on the coin. GPU parallelization of Keccak is possible but currently does not exist for mining with our implementation of SHA-3.

Ye I did read that, but with the talk earlier of a gpu miner and the pool being scrypt for cgminer I thought maybe they has decided to go gpu.

Just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something and I was ready for the release tomorrow same as everyone else.

Twitter has been dark for about 24 hours. It would be nice to get some configuration information ahead of time.  With the onslaught of new people trying mining for the first time, we should have time to write up tutorials.

Yes, the claim is their implementation won't be compatible.

So is this not gpu compatible? I've signed up on max.poolers.org and got the impression that it is. If not, what cpu miner should I use and how do I set it up?

Any help is appreciated Smiley

We are waiting on more info from the devs.  It is being figured out.  Once there is more information the getting started info on the pool website may or may not be changed.

What miner are people planning to use for now? Minerd? Is there example batch file somewhere?

That is one of the things being figured out. It might require a modified miner.  Join IRC  #maxcoin if you want to see what is being talked about.
