Seems like they will have a GPU miner available at launch. Sucks.
In which case, why not just release it as scrypt so that the GPU farms can mine it all up?
I understand the Botnet fears, but for the first day or so it could be a true CPU only, then someone will amend cgminer no doubt.

Exactly, the community would be hitting blocks and not just botnets. ASICs and GPUs make the network more secure, it is stupid to ignore that fact. This should be a scrypt coin and Max should fire these clueless devs. |

Would be very, very helpful if you put a link in here, where it ACTUALLY says it will be mineable with GPU's. On the devs twitter feed 2 days ago they were asking if someone could make a GPU miner.
