i made 30 bucks in 5 hours of mining i am happy but it is a shit coin. telling people its not possible to gpu mine and than it is and everyone is doing it... plus that diff is too high its over 10k almost 3 times higher than what litecoin is right now

So this launch was ridiculously bad, worst I've ever seen.  The fact that it's a celebrity coin is stupid too.  The fact is, though, that this coin uses a new PoW, and that counts for something.  I think it would have been better to release with less fanfare and let it build naturally, like with Vertcoin.

Dwarfpool works so good for me right now!
I recommend dwarfpool for everyone. Also the cgminer on their site gives me 2x more hash than arOpenCLMAX miner.

There is something wrong with that pool, it went 50min without finding a block, prior to that it was finding one every couple of minutes.

The GUI crashes on my system when it gets to 36 hours behind, tried compatibility mode with no luck.  Anyone else?

it was up here https://github.com/Max-Coin/clients/releases/tag/1.0, I did the source... but I think they took it down, the conf file needs t obe updated by adding more nodes to help sync up.

I wish they could get a GUI like every other coin.

IMPORTANT: If you have the cmd wallet with MaxCoins create a back up of the wallet.dat file.
 
1. Download the "wallet-windows-zip" from https://github.com/Max-Coin/clients/releases/
2. Extract the "wallet-windows-zip" file to your desired location
3. Click the "maxcoin-qt.exe" file
4. MaxCoin Qt up and running.

If you need to change the wallet.dat file with a back up, go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\MaxCoin   Windows XP
C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\MaxCoin   Windows Vista and 7
