Have been mining since Thursday evening:
3 servers (2 running the windows qt app & 1 the original windows cmd.exe file posted by devs), approx. 1342 computer hours & I've mined NOTHING??
CPU has been maxed out 100% since running, yet when I do getbalance, shows all zeros.
on the 2 machines running the qt, same thing.
the debug files constantly increasing in size.
does anyone have any idea why this may be? If I'm just spinning my wheels, and throwing server rental $ down the drain, I'd rather pull the plug asap.
Thanks.
um you are mining with CPUs we are well beyond that.. (ie 1 GPU can do as much work as 100 CPUs roughly) and also if you are solo mining you have to find a block in order to get coins.. which could take a very long time. some pools were unstable due to ddos. some like 1GH never even registered my work when I mined with 1.6 GH for an hour ... soooooooooooo never going to use them again. EDIT: IF PEOPLE BOTHERED TO EVEN READ THE FORUMS THEY WOULD KNOW BY NOW THAT CPU MINING IS DEAD.. SO PLS SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND STOP TRYING.You are not very bright are you... People are cpu mining still because the first post still says GPU mining isn't out yet and there are no links to cgminer what so ever. Q: So is it CPU only? Will I be able to use my Butterfly Labs ASIC when it arrives (... any day now...)? A: Using Keccak as a hashing function renders current Bitcoin ASICs and the upcoming Scrypt ASICs useless on the coin. GPU parallelization of Keccak is possible. However we do not currently have a working GPU miner. LAZY DEVS MISLEADING NEWBIES TO START CPU MINING IS NOT THE NEWBIES FAULT. THE FIRST POST SHOULD CONTAIN EVERYTHING NEEDED TO GET STARTED PROPERLY AND NOT SIFT THROUGH 300 PAGES TO FIGURE OUT WHERE EVERYTHING IS.

Our pool is always up as well, feel free to us it any time the other pools are down. Working fine. 0% fees as usual. max.cutk.comNutNut, you might want to set your confirms to 140 or you could be in for a nasty surprise (actually it MIGHT work most of the time but that's right on the edge). Or do you have a loaded wallet feeding out early?

THE FIRST POST SHOULD CONTAIN EVERYTHING NEEDED TO GET STARTED PROPERLY AND NOT SIFT THROUGH 300 PAGES TO FIGURE OUT WHERE EVERYTHING IS.i think you are the one who is not very bright... the devs have not been on this forum since the day of the launch.... there are literally 100s of posts of people showing how fast their GPU mining is.. and others showing how measly their CPU mining is. and even more posts of people complaining about how shitty the launch was and how inept the devs are.. if you cared to read any of it.. you wouldn't be sitting there pointing to the first page and complaining at me.. a guy who tried to save you the trouble.... perhaps you should go back to trying cpu mining.. since you obviously prefer to reading books by their cover and thinking you know the full story.. EDIT.. AND if you want the front page updated then why not try sending a message to the thread poster... atleast you'll be complaining at somebody who can do something about it.

Any tutorial for CPU Mining ? I just can't figure out how to do it Well, here's a start: http://forum.max-coin.net/index.php/topic,3.0.htmlI dunno about it not being worth it to CPU mine...in 3 days of CPU mining on my i5 3570k at 4GHz I've picked up 2 MAX. Not a lot, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! It has an onboard Intel graphics chip and won't accept an ATi video card. After I get rich mining with this 260X on this Phenom IIx4 945 rig (6-year-old HP Pavilion), I'll buy an nVidia for the 3570k rig. Sorry, little off topic but why do you think it does not accept AMD card but Nvidia will work? Actually I don't know that an nVidia will work. I tried this r7 260X on it first and it gave no display. The BIOS has no provision for specifying a primary video adapter, so maybe an nVidia won't work either. It's an Asus P8H77-I --a micro-ATX form factor with integrated Intel graphics. Cheap enough that if an nVidia won't work either, then I'll just go buy a new motherboard. I had a slightly different problem with intel igpu's explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=456420About your mobo: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8H77-I/E7988_P8H77-I.pdfSee page 2-19 Primary Display [Auto] Allows you to decide which graphics controller to use as the primary boot device. Configuration options: [Auto] [iGPU] [PCIE] In either case, the GPU should work on your mobo I think. But it may use too much current (as I had that problem with Intel machines)... best is perhaps to get an AMD system...

NutNut, you might want to set your confirms to 140 or you could be in for a nasty surprise (actually it MIGHT work most of the time but that's right on the edge). Or do you have a loaded wallet feeding out early? I wouldn't say a "loaded" wallet as we make use of cold wallets too but we never have our wallets running that close empty that's for sure.
