First, Russia is not "crypto-progressive", in fact their government was very critical towards cryptocurrencies in the recent years, and many officials were calling for bans. It may be possible that they will actually ban most cryptocurrencies in the future and will only allow "tame"  cryptocurrencies like Ethereum.

There will be no massive adoption or use during the world cup, people would still be using fiat because it will be more convenient and faster. Cryptocurrencies are accepted only in few places, users need to usually wait at least a few minutes to get confirmations, merchants might be afraid about volatility and unclear legal status and so on - there are many obstacles and the benefits are not worth it for most people.

This will only be possible if owners of hotels, restaurants,  shopping mall etc are cryptocurrency oriented. You will be  surprised to realize that most of those people may not accept Bitcoin.

Russia 2018, may be another turning-point of the crypto-community. FIFA is going to be hosting a big tournament in Russia. And as long as it is legitimate in Russia, it is legitimate. So this will have an impact on its debt through FIFA. Bitcoin demand and usage and exchange will increase.

I  believe it too .somehow this event could be another way to promote cryptocurrency currency.since Russia accepted bitcoin..the event will be great help to the community ..

Why not? I think Russia has already played great role to inspire many other countries to adopt crypto currency. Moreover, there are many big companies which have accepted crypto currency to deal with it. The number will increase in future gradually.

Russia has always been very clear about Crypto's attitude, but there are indications that Russia appears to be ready to legalize Crypto. This year's World Cup is a very good opportunity to promote Crypto to the world, especially those gambling ico will become very crazy.

FIFA Worldcup is the biggest event happening in Russia this year. Luckily Russia is also popular for widespread use of crypto currency. People all over the world will go there not only to see the world cup but also for vacation. Their will be huge money flow and people won't take fiat currency in their luggage. For security purpose and for convenience transaction crypto currency will be used abundantly which will give a positive impression in this sector.

The State Duma adopted in the first reading three draft laws on crypto-currencies. They define digital money as "other property", coins will not be recognized in Russia as a means of payment. Mining is proposed to be taxed, and the organizers of ICO will have to sign an agreement with each investor.

Come 14th June 2018, the world's biggest sporting event, the FIFA World Cup, will kick off in Russia. People from all walks of life will travel to Russia to witness this unique event. To some, this is an opportunity to be there, irrespective of whether their country has qualified or not.
Russia, as we all know, is one of the prominent countries that accepts the use of cryptocurrencies. For this reason, many hotels, restaurants, bars, night clubs, camping sites, tourists sites etc, will definitely make bitcoin a means of payment.
So, could Russia 2018 be an opportunity for cryptocurrencies to spread further far and wide? Could this be an opportunity for cryptocurrency to be made known to those who currently have no idea?
And could this be considered as another turning point to the crypto-community?
Good to hear, This is a great help for all bitcoin investors and user's to make another history in the field of cryptocurrency, So far Russia is doing great to promote bitcoin, surely bitcoin will recovers soon, This another opportunity to buy bitcoin while the value is at low rate.

As for Russia, I will say the following. I do not think that at the world championships someone will create the opportunity to accept payments in cryptocurrencies for a simple reason - the demand for services and goods will be high without it. But, of course, there will be exceptions.
As for the adoption of the crypto currency this is not so simple. If you read the bill, it does not have the concept of a crypto currency as we used to see it. The state wants wallets to be attached to individuals for control purposes. Regulator at its discretion can limit the number of tokens bought by people and much more.

This will surely make an impact to the crypto world and I hope this big event will help crypto community to known by common people who still relies in FIAT. And to add, there are lot of ICOs that are based in Russia and it will be an opportunity for them.

maybe for some business establishment tjey will accept crypto currency as mode of payment but for majority of businesses with in the vicinity of the fifa event i doubt it because if they will do there should be an early announcment from organizer that people can use cryptocurrency as mode of payment. maybe its too late to affect crypto price at this stage
