Of course they cannot regulate bitcoin, bitcoin is regulated and controlled by the market itself, those who want bitcoin to be regulated, the government is afraid of the strengthening of bitcoin and the death of their currency. I think bitcoin can't be rules.

Bitcoin or the crypto currency is something which is meant to be free and it is one of the main features of crypto and if it go under regulation then the rules will going to be violated.

bitcoin will not threaten the government financial system, they just try to spread the negative news about bitcoin, and if bitcoin is under government regulation in my opinion is a bitcoin progress in improving the current government financial system that often happens corruption

The governments of various states  are trying all they can to control bitcoin. There is this notion that whatever the government can not control they will kill the same. Bitcoin has been in the searchlight of the government and her agents intensely since the beginning of 2018 where all sorts of regulations and in some cases outright ban. Bitcoin has been able to stay afloat despite all these injuries from the government and their jobers  like financial opinion leaders where very few of them are on the side of cryptocurrency. These distraction has really affected the market value of bitcoin and altcoins adversely this year.

There will be many rules set out if the transaction is not legal. There will be rules for Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market. The government will make the law.

To some extent, the government can actually regulate bitcoin, but it will not be full control, otherwise the digital currency will no longer be interesting for us.

If Bitcoin can be regulated in a formal way, then I think this will make Bitcoin get closer to “gold” because it can get more protection from regulation!

In order for the cryptocurrency to become fully legal all over the world, it still needs partial regulation by the government. And most likely, each country will have its own rules in this regard. The main thing is that they do not infringe on the bitcoin of its investors.

I hope that this will not happen because it contradicts one of the main ideas of cryptocurrencies about decentralization.

Bitcoin can be very under government regulations. The government can impose some restrictions and set tax rates. And it is possible to trace the transaction for any legal or regulatory matter. Regulating are much better than banning bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Many already support. Everyone is waiting for the main giants to approve their legislation. I hope this happens after September 30.

As much as i hate saying this, but Bitcoin will one day be regulated in the future. For Bitcoin to enter the mainstream financial system, Bitcoin has to be regulated by the Governments. But i fear that the governments will try to exploit the Bitcoin for their advantage.

I think some day they may come up with an idea of regulations, the only question is when it's going to happen. But I surely don't see something like this coming very soon.

Many government are seeing Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a threat to their financial system and they think it should be regulated to solve the problem. Do you think they can regulate Bitcoin ?
I think the governments can only pass restrictive measures. Because there is no law that prohibits the Bitcoin trade and limits the influence of Bitcoin. And when Bitcoin is limited, its price gets higher.

I believe that bitcoin can be regulated by several governments. But right there, you need to correctly understand the concept of the word regulation! Governments can not have power over the bitcoin network, it is impossible.

But on the other hand, some governments can do such things:
1. impose a transfer tax.
2. impose taxes on the purchase and sale.
3. limit the turnover
4. to prohibit the use of bitcoin on teritory of country.

And if some state will decide to do this, they will do it exactly. It is unlikely that someone will forbid it. But, by its nature, bitcoin is not subject to any government or state. And more, I believe that any attempt to regulate bitcoin will fail!

if bitcoins get regulation i see that as a good thing. get the scams out and let the real tech prevail. today if you search 7 out of 10 are scams if you are not know with bitcoin. so if the general people see the positive side this will be for the good of the coin

I hope that this will not happen because it contradicts one of the main ideas of cryptocurrencies about decentralization.

It will not contradict as the network will stay the same open-source and decentralized, build on a protocol which people already trust you can't change it anymore. The regulation needed just to protect the buyers and sellers and because government also want a portion of "fees"

Looking at the nature of the crypto world at the moment, some level of regulations will be good. What that will mean is that the governments will be legalizing Btc use in one way or the other and that will enhance mass adoption.

It is totally depend on the community we can only do prediction and I personally think it will never go under regulation because if they go they will lose the popularity.
