Definition of "Sport:" an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.

I think Virtual Reality Video games where you use haptic suits etc. definitely falls under that category. Only going to evolve into life-like experiences, but I'm not sure the sports will be simple recreations of modern-day sports. If physics don't apply, new sports will become popular. Quiddich, gladiator fights..

of course not.  check the dictionary on what a sport is and one of the attributes is physical exertion.  I think video games are intellectual games since they use up the brain as they need to strategize.

I think yes, video games are sport. I heard somewhere that they can be included in the program of the Olympic Games. Cybersport is developing and in the future even more people who play video games. Here you can also play against other players by esports betting on mid.bet.

There is no need to consider anything it's already a fact.
Gaming tournament is a competition and also a way of entertainment. That is sports.

The only thing is... I wish players cared more about their health. Do more physical activity.
Because 12 hours daily training beside the monitor with some junk food and soda is really unhealthy. And that is how most of the kids train.

If video games would be considered a sport, so should chess and similar games. This is why video games are just considered games.

Well chess is a sport, racing games in my opinion could be considered sport, there are so many factors involved though like lag, which would make competition unfair.

Yes an E-Sport, but not a classical sport.

Sport
noun

1An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
‘team sports such as soccer and rugby’

I think they should to some extend. There are a lots of similarities. You have to really train to get good, you need a good mental stamina, need to perform under pressure. E-Sport is a thing already!

Video games should not be a sport. First sport  require physical activity, moving your hand all day and starring at a screen is not a sport.
Who told you that moving our hands is not a physical activity?video games needs mental skills and sports needs SKILLS and not just physically.board games such like Chessboard is this a sports considered game right?

Yes. You are right that per country has their own representative teams to battle and play video games. Do you think that it can be considered as a job ?
In my own opinion, since video games can be considered as a sport because it is also called a e-sport or games that can be played through online and using a computer or other gaming console, It can now be considered a job because they played in different countries just to compete with different teams for them to win a million dollars prize. Anyways, video game are like trading and investing you can earn a good profit from it through online, try signing up to this site if you are interested because it also has a great trading platform and a good project.
