In the coming years bitcoin and Ethereum will still be the two major cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin because it is indisputably the leading cryptocurrency and will remain there for the foreseeable future. I believe that one of the most popular coins will remain bitcoin and Ethereum, they are the most stable and well-known coins, They will always invest in them. That's a fair prediction but for me in 2 years time I still believe BTC to be the top ranked cryptocurrency. Sure thing, there's a lot to happen in a span of 2 years but if we are to consider the historical role of BTC as you've said, then we should know that it's really not that easy to overthrow it by other alts even ETH itself. Consider this: everyone here who are investing in eth and other alts, even those who invest in ICOs, most of them (if not all) have various coins/tokens but there will be one thing that they both have in their portfolio and that is BTC. Maybe for the top 2 and 3 rank I can say ETH and BCH well that's just for me.

The only coin that I could see in number spot is Bitcoin. Bitcoin will be the king because it is most likely the first cryptocurrency that a person could know. Also, big investors are still relying on the return of Bitcoin because it has proven itself for the past few years now and every year, Bitcoin's price are doubled. The next Spot I think is Ethereum because it has been around longer for most of the altcoins and that different kinds of token is under the umbrella of Ethereum which boost its price. The third spot is Monero.

I doubt that in less than 2 years some altcoin will be able to beat bitcoin in terms of capitalization and trading volume. So by 2020 the first will be bitcoin.
2 and 3 places will give ETH and NEO.
Ether is again on the turnover of funds and companies that maintain partnership relations with it.

All are predictions. But I also have my own predictions about which coins will dominate in the next time. I think that there are not any coins can alternate two leading positions of Bitcoin and Etherium. At the third position, may be NEO, and the fourth is Dash or Monero

top 3 Altcoin for 2020 I highly recommend to use Ethereum, Cardano, and Waves. these three points I have noticed and have an ever-increasing development. so it is very able to rely on these three coins as a coin in the future and generate much greater profits.
