copypasters, broken bot?

My personal idea: he messed up the bot for autoposting since he posts 2 times the same thing in the same thread.

This is maybe a long list of users who copypaste themself,quote eachothers in differents 3d for bumping.

For now I have 2 users, just look post history and You can see the "broken bot"

OK, the 24-hour limit is now in place in the sections that people mentioned.

Those bots would post something to bump the thread and delete it after a few seconds/minutes. Now they need to wait 24 hours before deleting a post.

Yep, it's quite obvious that both NeedsMoreJPEG and hidden2209 are both just pumping out pre-written, nonsensical replies and quoting each other. Their purpose is definitely to bump up certain ICO ANN threads considering that's where they exclusively post and I dont' think that they are involved in any signature campaigns.

Whether it's a broken bot, or whatever, we don't know. But it doesn't really matter either way, we know they are an offender of the forum rules and they should be banned.

Is it really as a result of theymos's changes, though? As far as I can tell, this person has been double posting before theymos sent out that message.

Good find! He doesn't post it twice in the same thread though, it's different threads.

I've reported one post for each, asking to ban them.

I love seeing high ranked spammers get banned now! I think of it as destroying 100 and 250 "initial Merit", and that's something the spammers will never get back!

hidden2209 was already banned. I banned jpeg. Hopefully lots of bots will get exposed by this so report them before they figure it out.

Can banned accounts send merits? No right? There should be a smerit destroy button,where some users who don't want to distribute the merit can destroy it,and that merit can go to the merit sources?

If sources need more sMerit, its just a click on a button for theymos to arrange that.
