My best coin for long term that I though is XLM. They are nonprofit group and all focus to built this to become the best blockchain network.
Even Microsoft, Facebook, IBM very interesting with it.
Also this is the strongest coin on the bloodbath market yesterday

We can invest in any coin for a long term but the most important thing in investing is not forgetting Bitcoin and Ethereum because they are included in any investment portfolio.

While market is not stable as well bitcoin is the most safety coin... And if it grows, it grows well enough to make money. Altcoins are not demanded now even if bitcoin grows or in flat.

Better still, visit cmc and select a list... Spread your investment. That's the best thing to do
Keep some BTC and ETH still...

But if I want to invest in something for a long period of time I prefer to form portfolio main part of which consists of each type of these assets, Bitcoin and Ethereum. Because in such way I can diversify my risks. But also I prefer to invest about 20-25% of my portfolio into BCH, IOTA, ICX, ZEC, HSR, XLM. I don't like small altcoins. But right now I just trade on "big" coins with USD.
