Most of time people ask me this question whenever I tell them to invest in crypto coins, it is early basic question for new investors to know, for betterment of investors and for market I recommend people to invest in bitcoin and ETH both are really good coins that has good value and it has ability to rise faster as compare to other altcoins.

Stable coins as long-term investment? What will this investment give you? Because, stable coins are always the same and prices remain stable most of the time.

The market is obviously very volatile which means that a coin cannot remain stable all the time and would always be prone to fluctuations.

I would not suggest a stable coins but a coin with potential to grow in value and replicate the value. So what comes in my mind when I think about best coins for long term is Bitcoin, ETH and some other altcoins which have the potential to grow immensely in future.

I always believe bitcoin remains the best, now or long term because without bitcoin, the struggle to popularize cryptocurrency is very difficult considering people are more familiar with bitcoin than cryptocurrency. This is a reality that cannot be ignored.
So from that bitcoin price movement becomes the benchmark for other coins, where the coin owner will analyze to be the basis for decision making so that when the execution can get a profit.

I really don't see too much potential from Ripple, what I see from it is a place where the whales start pumping and dumping vigorously, it is the place manipulated by groups of whales, we can see it surpasses eth but it is only temporary, never permanent, ripple is not sustainable and not suitable for long-term investment. In the present time, the best coin for long-term investment is probably too little when the risk of all is too great, a few months are enough to change too much, a few years is probably a new era with crypto, so we should not choose long term now

XRP is not a stable coin like tether but it is centralized and it is printed as much as the creator wants,it is not created through mining.

I have to admit that I'm not much of the fan of new appearing coins. Looking at all that are on the market only few have some chance to survive on longer period and bring you at least some profit. That is why I'm convinced that Bitcoin is still the best coin for long term investment.

Still if I have to add some other coins besides Bitcoin then LTC and ETH are not bad choice so if you want to split your investment into multiple coins  then one of these would be profitable.

The best coin for a long-term investment is Bitcoin. Any other coins simply depend on the movement of Bitcoin. yes, I also agree with you that Ripple (XRP) is not as good as you might think. I don't like Ripple (XRP) too much. yes I admit that Ripple (XRP) had replaced the position of ethereum, but it did not last long and now ethereum to the previous position.

In my own personal opinion, the best coin for long a term investment is bitcoin and ethereum because they are the top coins in the market that even the price of every cryptocurrencies have fall down in the year of 2018, bitcoin and ethereum is still at the top.
