I'm using the following exchanges.
1. Binance - by far, I think this is best when it comes to security, not to mention the UI/UX is great
2. Huobi - has regular airdrops (weekly)
3. idex - I just use this for trading tokens I get from airdrops  
4. Forkdelta - same with idex, I use it for my airdrop tokens  
5. Kucoin - it's one of the top exchanges now and this has some btc/eth airdrops as well

for beginners who want to trade, many exchange is easy to use and very safe, especially for beginners, for example binance, kukoin, okex, idex, forkdelta, etc .. if you want to trade bitcoin, my suggestion is do in bittrex or poloniex

As you are new in this game keep in mind that, two factor authentication is an important factor. I will suggest some of the exchanges i.e. Binance, Bitrex, Kucoin etc. There are other exchanges also .

Hitbtc Less withdraw fees - High security About allcrypto coins avaliable.
Never use simple passwords on kucoin exchange . My one of account got hacked due to this reason. but from safe side i never store any funds in exchange.

Always keep watching Coincapmarket to keep your eyes on New coins.

Personally, I prefer finance. I like the ease of use of this exchange, very user-friendly interface. Also very good exchange bitrix. These exchanges have proven to be reliable.

Afaik binance has the lowest fee for makers and takers with a fee of .1% compared to others which has a fee that ranges to .1%-.25%. Binance has one of the highest volume too.

For me binance first and Kucoin next. I hear a lot of good stuff about bittrex but I chose to open an account with binance when bittrex' didn't accept new applicants.
I'm also beginning to like COBINHOOD because of the zero exchange fee.

It depends on your coin because some exchange provide high value for your coins so you need to trade that coin in those exchanges,you can go to coinmarket cap to get the details about coins and their trading price at the exchanges.But normally Binance and Bittrex are the most commonly used exchange by most of the crypto traders.

I would say that this is Binance. But did you see what they did today? They canceled the listing of QuarkChain (QKC).
This is my favorite exchange. But the last time they do everything they want. A vote is taken, then all the leaders are removed from the vote. Announce the time and date of listing a new coin, but then all cancel. I do not even know what will happen next, but I do not like the vector by which they move.

Correct, the coins your going to trade would make you join certain exchanges because the bigger ones dont list them [yet]. 

When i was on the hunt for lower cap coins i came across graviex.net they got a lot of coins that are not listed anywhere else and there system works fine.

I think the best exchange for a new trader. I highly recommend Bittrex because it is trusted here you can trade with alot of options, fiat trading and crypto trading also they have huge volume of traders daily lastly the fees there is much cheaper than binance and kucoin. The only problem that you may encounter in bittrex is you need to be verified first in order to withdraw your coin out of bittrex.

PS: easy to be verified if you have passport.
