I think binance this is the best huge exchange for now. Top-1 for my opinion.
If you don't want to make any KYC procedure than DEX your choice. IDEX, Etherdelta, Forrkdelta . They don't have such volume but there are a lot of ERC20 tokens.

At first you should stay away from the worst exchanges like Yobit, Etherdelta, HitBTC first then you can trade on Binance, Bittrex, Bitfinex,...if you want but I think it depend on cryptocurrency you're going to trade cause not all cryptocurrency listed on every exchanges. For me, I'm using Binance to trade, it's quite good with a trading mobile app but trading fee is a little bit high.

When I was just starting out, I remember reading a lot about how to trade and started out with
small amounts and on decentralized exchanges because as what I have read, they are the ones
that often gives low fees to their users. But nowadays, I prefer to used centralized exchanges
since they have more volume and are more likely to have real coins compared to decentralized
exchanges that have been rumored to have fake tokens(not sure if it's real tho, but just want to
be sure).

good exchange I think that using G2FA is double security when you will login, if in exchange there is no G2FA better away from the exchange, I suggest you binance, bitterx, huobi.

yes it is the top crypto exchanger, with a large trading volume and also the existing user in the exchange. but other exchange like IDEX which in fact is decentralization also good in my opinion. IDEX also have a great trading volume! but unfortunately in this exchange token only pairs with ethereum

Binance, Bittrex, and Kucoin in no particular order, these are he best exchangers that you can find. Transaction fees are good as well as the security, and you'll never heard much issues with these exchangers unlike Cryptopia who is flooded with issued and unsolved concerns. I mean Cryptopia is good exchanger as well, but their customer support sucks.
