Competition ideas for crypto exchange

Hi,  everyone!
What do you think is it worth to run such a competition on crypto exchange? Or maybe you can suggest something else?

What Ideas I have:

- the winner will get 70% of all crypto exchange trading fees  ( 0.5% per order) that were made in competition  time (1 winner or split between top 5 traders)

- make it transparent as possible (make all trading history viewable, downloadable and exported, provide all wallet info where funds were loaded, so people can check results at the end of the competition)

- the duration time of the competition is 4 weeks (more or less?)
- see the list of the best traders and their orders

- trading pair BTC/ETH (or choose something else?)

First of all I don't understand what is the competition about.

Is that you are going to create a exchange and going to reward the top five traders? But what is the intention of doing this competition do you have any benefits?

I'm researching different ways to attract traders to exchange and build a community around trading.

So you are going to create your own exchange or just doing it as volunteer service to increase the crypto users. If your looking to users for your exchange then better start promoting them in the proper way than doing this,this may not give enough reach.

I didn't know that such thing exist, I know there was such competition but its for gambling sites. I can't barely understand what is your indicating there but I assume that your idea is not bad for traders but the problem is it takes too much if we are talking with your terms since that 70% will make the exchange fall for sure.

Making up some competition into a crypto exchange isnt really a bad idea but the prize is way too high i guess.Imagine 70% all over on exchange fee i dont even believe that you would really give out such partition for the sake of advertisement.You can make other way of marketing out your exchange like advertisements into this forum. The important thing for it to be recognize, just focus up on other exchangers flaws like support or fees, compete with it and make your service be better compared to others and you might really able to get on what you seek on.

Don't you think that binance is already using one of the good strategy to trade by giving almost 50% of the discount on the fees if we pay with BNB coin itself. I think most of the startegies like this are already in place anday not be much useful for the current competition. If we really want to get attracted towards the exchangers then they should give away some coins equivalent to whatever we put on them. That would be the best investment for us and also they will gain more and more customer base too.

I think the proper way of promoting an exchange can be done by signature campaigns which can create more attention and if you want to invest more amount of promotion then you can hire high quality participants which can be good for you.

No I didn't join any trading competition but I am doing altcoin trading is short term but not in a huge amount.

Besides the fact that marketing around an exchange should be focused on something else then a competition (as stated by others already), I would like to suggest to not do the trader competitions that for example KuCoin is doing. This always feels to feeding whales more money to me.

I honestly do not know about the full definition of trading only I understand if our main purpose of investment is to seek a big and sure profit. Now more and more exchange is circulating on the internet, we have to choose the definite and not harm us

People will think that you can rigged it even you don't have an intention. You have the full control over that.

If the purpose of competition is to promote your exchange then just continue with your plan with no doubts while at the same time spend money on advertising. Actively promote it by any means. Even there are lots of popular crypto exchanges today, there are some exchanges who able to reached the popularity because of strong marketing and advertising.

Anyways goodluck. If you are really eager to pushed that idea, just do it without hesitation.

Signature Campaigns is a good idea in starting an awareness campaign but keep in mind that signature campaign is limited to this forum only. There's also Twitter campaign and Facebook campaign. They can also hire someone to write a an article about the site in a Blog. There are other sites as well with high traffic volume of Cryptocurrency users. Never heard of such trading competition even in real world trading.

Binance is the best competitor among the exchanges, 50% less fee, referral earnings, contests etc. Not all of them try such things to attract users.

Why is it then that exchanges that launched in the last 3 years did not have their signature campaigns. I might be wrong but out of the 20 biggest exchanges in the world not even one had a signature campaign. Even smaller, local ones, aren't using this form of advertising.
A campaign is just one of many ways of advertising and can be skipped in favor of paid articles in the media, a bitcointalk banner, social media campaigns, and so on.
