Funny, when we were at $ 17000, there were a lot of people who said we'd never see $ 10,000 again and today we're seeing the $ 7000. By that I mean that we can not say "never". and also I do not believe that in the next 2 months we will even reach the $ 10,000 and not return to the $ 8000. In my opinion prices will fluctuate in the area between $ 9000 to $ 6500 by the end of the year. About your prediction of the title I find it completely impossible to reach

logically $10k as the bottom was a good speculation in my opinion and although i have never said never without saying "this is bitcoin and anything is possible" but i also said we would never see below it! and evidence shows $10k was a very strong buy support that it took thousands of bitcoin to dump into it and break it successfully. i personally have never considered that drop natural and when this sort of major resistance is broken there is no stopping the  drop anymore.

Well we have heard that bitcoin will not hit below 5 digit mark, that's what everyone is preaching about 6 months ago. But the inevitable happen, we are still struggling to even go to $10000 mark. So let's see if we can get to 5 digit again and see how it goes specially at the end of the year. But I love your bullish sentiments though. 

The expected prices given by you in the next two years are too high and I do not agree with you. You have just blown the words in the air. Facts are something different. I think maximum price till the end of this year will be $10000 because almost half year is going to end and the price is still below $8000. How is it possible that the price will reach to $50k till December?

It's best we all should be realistic in predicting the price of bitcoin. Most times, it is this unrealistic and uncalculated price of cryptocurrency that makes most people see cryptocurrency as a scam and shitty project. I have seen mostly rush into bitcoin and starts investing in it because they have read and seen this type of  price speculation and invest in it without knowing that this might not come through.

I believe that it might happen this year because most of the governments are fighting in order to legalize cryptocurrency in their country like korea, china and russia so we can expect for the price of bitcoins to increase further more before december.

I don't see the Bearish market people are talking about. Instead, there is a very strong level of consolidation happening above the $7000 level, and that since the day we reached the main bottom back in February. It all depends on how you look at the market. It can be as bullish or bearish as you want it to be, or you can just remain neutral and focus on the consolidation that is perfectly normal in current market. Nothing justifies the price to tank, and nothing justifies the price to pump. Consolidation makes sense.

Exactly one year ago we were operating well under the $3000 level, so allow the market to adjust. One thing all the massive pumps we have gone through have in common, is that afterwards we always had a longer period of non bullish (some people might even say bearish) activity. It's a cycle. It won't drag on like this for ever with how many bullish indicators we have coming up.

I personally don't think it was FOMO that caused the recent dip in the market. Besides, the dip wasn't that much, it was a little one that caused a major change in the all the altcoin price. Moreover, when there is dip or the market is red, its a perfect time to stock up your wallet. So see the reds in the market as a good chance not a bad one.

Yeah, that works for an investor who really does not have any idea on following trend and you could at least be picking up the pieces as it drops. The market is in a huge uncertainty phase right now and very hard to predict how things would eventually add up. If you have ever taken a look at a price chart of Bitcoin, you should
know that the price isn´t following a constant line to the moon.

I´d argue that we haven´t seen the capitulation yet that is
necessary before we can embark on another bull run. The last few weeks
could have just been a bounce before the price goes down to even lower levels
(this could be triggered by a burst of the altcoin/ICO bubble).

this is what i am also afraid of a little.
there is a lot of shit going down in the altcoin market and with all these ICOs making a run for it and all the rest of the bubbles also bursting we are looking at a wild market for as long as the dumpings are not finished.

I'm not really worried about all of those alts crashing, most of my money is in bitcoin, in fact if most alts crashed that will be good news to bitcoin since much of the money invested there is only for speculation and if those thousands of coins did not existed all that money will be on bitcoin.

Well, you are wrong here. I was also wrong many times in my speculations of Bitcoin. The correction may have been finished some time ago but the Bitcoin market is still going down. Just like you, I was thinking that its price will not anymore go down lower than $7,000. But then just very recently it started to lose grasp to it and freely slide down. It even lost grasp with $6,500. But right this very moment, it seems it is going to go up once again.

I think the downtrend still continue. Last night it breaches the $6400 support, almost touches $6000, and bounced there. The title should be revised, it should be $5K by 2018. There simply no fundamental reason to support the rise to $50K, no? Last year ATH we had futures trading in several US exchange, what will we have this year to fuel the run to 50K? I don't see anything so far.

It even lost grasp with $6,500. But right this very moment, it seems it is going to go up once again.

I don't think so, this is just a small bounce. Pretty sure it'll go sub 6K in the next few days.

It may not achieve the half price as well of what is predicted in 2018. Yes should be near 20k or make high compared to last year during this remaining months and we should be seeing this rise soon to happen as currently it seems it is testing the resistance level.

Possibly if we achieve the predicted amount we were the luckiest people on the globe. We don't know what happens further, even this could happen by 2018 or later. Right now the entire user community is keen upon the price to recover and reach at least the $10000 mark which has been predicted to be reached months back.

it is not too much at all! we have had a much bigger rise last year. in the last month of the year alone price went up 100% so going to $50k is nothing compared to that and with the way bitcoin rallies have always happened.

but it won't happen only because the market is not ready for the rise. not because it is big.

You are raising your hopes too high OP, and I would not be so sure yet until I am so sure. One thing is that bitcoin is unpredictable and a lot can still happen even in the short term. $50k at the end of 2018 is totally unrealistic and you are presently living in a dream. Do not expect every year to be the same and even if we are able to make any slight move at all, $25k may actually be the maximum this year would give. Of course, no one is sure of anything, but that seems more realistic to me.

Even though bitcoin was known for bringing surprises time to time, I feel it would be too hard to hit $50k in next 6 months of time from the current levels of below $7000. In November 2017 alone bitcoin moved from $10k to $19.8k levels, it was almost a $10k movement. If we get $10k movements for every month from now onward till this December then %50k still possible .
