Best thing to do, well, I guess try to explore this forum and some aspect of cryptocurrency till you get familiar enough. It is not enough that you know, you must need to know how to do it as well, you know the result of what you will do, the negatives, the positives, the pros and cons, what could be the impact to you and so on. It doesn't matter if you want to learn for a long period time what matters here is the familiarity on the things you will do. Then knowledge will just come along the way.

As per my personal experience we you a newbie then you can study about altcoin in briefly because it is must for every person and you explore your knowledge from forum also. Where you can study/ write on discussion portal also. These are some basic steps for the newbie.

There are many sites that offer information, and also these forums offer a wealth of information.

You may want to look into things like how to set up 2FA, how to apply to exchanges, how to convert fiat into your first crypto (i.e. ETH or BTC), how to buy other currencies.

And followed by project research, project history, project roadmap, team, future, potential etc.

You may make mistakes, make sure that they aren't too costly .
