Hi all,

In your experience what are the best/most flexible exchanges for a wide range of cryptocurrencies with reasonable fees.

So far I've only used Coinbase and Binance, obviously Coinbase is limited and Binance is a massive faff to get verified so what are the alternatives out there?

I'm finding it all a little confusing and would value advice from those of you who have been doing this for a while.

One exchange I've heard of where you can exchange different currencies is Localcoinswap, not open yet though but I'd love to know what you think of it and if you think it will be worthwhile, the biggest benefit for me so far is that there's no KYC needed! It will be interesting to see how they do when they launch.

Experience is the primary factor in determining which platform is better, and it is your country, and the legal status of the Bitcoin Play an active role in reducing the list. If you asked me, the best exchange is ------> www.binance.com/
exchange platforms like banks so you do not trust "or new exchange " do not exchange using it
Many exchange platforms are starting to claim proof of identity so if you want to be anonymous, the best way is Exodus.

I'd recommend Bitfinex for quantity trades. Very flexible, plenty of pairs and lots of liquidity.

Don't think that this is a good reply of yours ( sentence fragment ) , cause it's looks like you copy it somewhere and out of no where .
Good luck to your journey dude, have a good capitalization of letters and period.

There are many different things that we may focus specially in crypto currencies exchanges division, from it's nature interface ( if friendly use or not ) , legit or scam and fees in every transaction of course.
This link will help you on how to determine some of the familiar crypto exchanges fees, kindly visit it ( https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_exchanges ) . It content some reminders also like this... Warning. Please be careful of your money. When sending funds to an exchange or other counterparty you are trusting that the operator will not abscond with your bitcoins and that the operator maintains secure systems that protect against internal or external theft. It is recommended that you obtain the real-world identity of the operator and ensure that sufficient recourse is available. Exchanging or storing significant funds with exchanges is not recommended.

I never heard about localcoinswap and I think it is better to stay at binance because in binance, we can also trade for multiple currencies and I think we can get a nice profit. I see that in binance we can start to trading without fill any KYC like the other sites and I think we only need to verify our email to get start trading. but so far, I still like bittrex besides binance and I also still use poloniex for doing trading and I think the fee is not too big.

Don't forget peer to peer is also a great way to find someone willing to accept your local currency, or even any currency you have. I myself trade with 2 major currencies, and Localbitcoins is easy to find someone who matches my currency query. Wherever you travel, just switch the country/currency, and there'll be plenty of traders online. Just I would suggest to stick to online trades as those are secured by escrow.

P2P's a good way to get your first Bitcoin, imo, just to get that feeling of exchanging with an actual person.

As I remember, the crypto exchanges is created to avoid P2P risk. Specially when big amount is on it, many people can set up some shady trap in that actual exchanges easily. Correct me if I'm wrong.

the biggest benefit for me so far is that there's no KYC needed!

You don't need any verification in Bisq, you only need a BTC security deposit to lock in 2-of-3 multisig with the arbitrator and the other trader.
Bisq is a decentralized exchange, so it is secure from hacking and KYC is not needed at all.

You just find an offer that you like and Bisq connects you with the other trader over Tor. Very secure, simple and a highest level of privacy you can get.

This isn't really specific enough. If you're just looking for convenience then I think that p2p trading is still going to be your go to thing. However, with the new regulations, you should always be prepared to verify yourself.

Localbitcoins, paxful are all fine with that. They deal with not only a wide range of cryptos but also fiat currencies. But the rates are unlikely to be good compared to major exchanges.

I would suggest using binance if you want to trade with crypto only and not fiat. You can choose to not get verified, and still get some withdrawal limits which is good. Their fees are industry standard.

I should say Cryptopia, even though I had a very bad experience regarding their customer service (it takes much time for your ticket to be entertained),  but in general their exchange is good and easy to navigate, good security, and it has a lot of tokens and coins listed.

That is the common thing when you send message via email, most of the customer service is having a hard time to answer and response to different problem. Just consider yourself as one of the thousands emails that sent to them everyday or a week. But good thing they manage to give you a satisfaction service from your problem. And yeah, cryptopia is a good crypto exchange too!

If you want no KYC, then go to Localbitcoins, paxful, Bisq network, hodlhodl. With both localbitcoins and paxful you are able to purchase BTC and other cryptos with a wide range of currencies (pretty much every single fiat currency out there) and payment methods. However, with LBC they've recently instated new rules in terms of KYC for users with significant volumes. Similar stuff with hodlhodl and bisq, just that there is a lot less offers.

The disadvantages to these two exchanges is that you're unlikely to find a lot of cryptos available, the main use is to convert fiat to BTC, not BTC to other crypto. Rates are going to be slightly above market as well.

Binance and shapeshift are the exchanges that I use if I want to get some other crypto quickly. They are both extremely reliable, and have pretty much every major coin. Don't use exchanges like poloniex, hitbtc, yobit, which have terrible track records.

I don't know what you are talking about with Bisq. There is no KYC nor anything similar and there never was.
It is completely a P2P exchange, it is permission-less and you don't need to register at any site nor anywhere centralized to start making and taking offers.

It uses simple multisig transactions on a Bitcoin network and Tor for it's P2P network. No blockchain, no website, no company.
Just code to let users find each other and safely trade using multisig deposits. Very simple, very private and very secure.
You can trade without any verification whatsoever and you always could.

The upcoming HBUS marketplace, which is crypto to crypto, will be a great place to get many different digital currencies. The link for more information is www.hbus.com

Ensure that only on recognized and reputable people trade and any new exchange could be a scam and can take away your money and close it. So always take extra precaution as dealing with any new could be dangerous unless you are sure it is a good exchange and know it by person.
