barry silbert (coindesk) HIRED 3 lambo's for the few days and parked them outside. it was just a publicity stunt.
A very bad one. Or what about that Monero baboon with his +$800k watch. I don't like that attention grabbing nonsense and it only distracts attention away from that what really matters. The event itself wasn't all that bad, but it could have been done way better; if there was less circus going there perhaps would be more room for actual worhtwhile development presentation and talk. I don't want to see lambos or anything pointing out how financially successful someone is. I want to see and better understand how we can improve the fundamentals of crypto. Vitalik for example has all the 'right' to show off his wealth, but he doesn't participate in such act of nonsense. We need more people like him and less of the fools that are looking for spotlight attention.

this sounds like an invitation to more weak hands though. the "adoption" that we are looking for is a real merchant adoption so that bitcoin can be used as a currency, which is what it has always meant to be not an investment which it sometimes is these days. so if you want to write about your "success story" then write it as a merchant or a customer. about how you got rid of scams such as charge backs and increased your sales. and how you reached financial freedom by using bitcoin.

Actually for some aspects this could be a good help to the world of digital currency ans so in us also because it could lessen our worked to explain to people the brief history of bitcoin. But at some point also this is not applicable because people today are being so aware what news and information that will have to believe with.

Stories like these are very encouraging and has made the impression that people can become rich through bitcoin. Although publications like these would definitely help make the name of bitcoin be better and possibly remove it’s negative associations (like crime and money laundering). Having more books about success stories would also show the benefits there are in bitcoin and how it is much more than just an imaginary coin.

It is difficult at this time to convince friends and relatives to invest in bitcoin. They could read in the news that bitcoin is down. Very hard to explain that they should buy right now. Although it is quite simple, buy low then sell later at a higher price. They’ve seen me on social media fulfilling travel goals courtesy of bitcoin. I’ll just keep trying.

I'll support this idea all the way. This is to encourage the starter who cam to just knew about bitcoin and also to boost the our confidence everytime we read success stories about bitcoin. Also, it is also good if they will also share their hidden strategies on their journey as why they becamr successful.

Whether we make a positive writing of bitcoin and its accruing profit , it won't matter much. As far as it is, bitcoin is investment and this is how the people outside sees it and believe that, there will be lows and highs, exactly as we withness in our investment. It is not every time you make gains in business.

So far I've been working on my business because of bitcoins. I have a stable income because of this. So I'm so grateful for it because it gave me the opportunity to get my life healthy and to help my parents. And I'm sure I'll reach all of my dreams, especially if I work harder.

I was going through a African airport today, on my way back from a project that we launched in Kenya and I saw this book in a little book shop, Mr Bitcoin: How I became a millionaire at 21 by Mpho Dagada http://jacana.bookslive.co.za/blog/2018/06/07/launch-mr-bitcoin-how-i-became-a-millionaire-at-21-by-mpho-dagada-7-june/Even though this might not be one of the best books that I have ever read, it shows the success that might be possible, even in countries where you might never have thought that it was possible. I spend most of my flight home reading the book and it made me think that more people should write books and articles on their successes with Bitcoin to increase adoption. People like the rags to riches stories and it motivates them to achieve the same level of success. even the success story books won't be enough for people who are ruled by emotions and they see the red numbers. I think it's best not to have those people in the community at all

only newbies with a little money are ruled by emotions like that and they wouldn't care if it is red or not. they will also have the same way of irrational thinking even during the rises. for example after each correction during a rally they panic sell!

A very brilliant idea i think this will really inspire people to believe and to know that bitcoin its not what they thought it was, its a business with so much profits to make from it also for them to see the benefits and utilize it for their own good.

Those success that we can give them are just examples of bitcoin's greatness. The inspiration that we can give them will surely convince others to start bitcoin. In fact many wantswant to believe what they see so it's our job to be example for them.

Bitcoin is a great system and we're the witnesses to that. We are the bitcoin's living testimony of its greatness so sharing our successes in this system to other can really pursue them to start getting involved in here.

People like those rags to riches story so it would make them be interested in bitcoin. We should start to spread more positive vibes about bitcoin because most likely those people only knew it through news and we know that news stories are mostly negative so it would discourage them. The disadvantage of this when people knew that you are successful in cryptocurrencies is that you might endanger your life because people knew you have money and might become a target for the criminals.

Not with bitcoin though because as much as there are rags to riches stories, there are also a lot riches to rags instances. And these are broadcasted louder than the rags to riches stories that you're talking about.

I'd like to know why you believe that any positive writing about bitcoin won't do any good. I think whether it’s writing about success stories or telling friends about bitcoin, anything that could help society better understand crypto will be incredibly useful. Keep in mind that for bitcoin or any other virtual currency to get full adoption, people have to actually start using it instead of fiat. The more people switch to cryptos, the more merchants will accept it. Cryptocurrency’s strength will depend on the people’s faith in the market/coin. Just as you believe that three dollars could get you a coffee, with the same faith in crypto, there could be a strong economy built on legit and useful currency.

Writing a book might help, but in today's time book readers are becoming fewer and fewer as year passes by. People preferred something more engaging, like a daily journal or a blog that shows actual use of a product. But still the best way to increase adoption is to accept bitcoin as a payment in our services.

I was not impressed by the title of the book especially the word "millionaire". I believe in attracting mass with technology or by virtue not by money involved. In this step, they will inspire and motivate themselves on how the electronic money changes the life of we.

Testimonies and stories are best ways to pursuade people. Especially to bitcoin where some of the people dont believe and has knowledge about. Sharing past experiences will open the heart and mind of people who might want to try bitcoin.

Well if I was sitting on Bitcoin riches like some early adopters (sadly I am not) I wouldn't want my name and face plastered all over the media and especially I wouldn't want to attract too much unwanted attention to myself and my family. It's best to keep your Bitcoin networth a secret and the fewer people to know about this the better. Otherwise you are going to paint a huge target on your back and will give the local thugs and mafia lots of reasons to pay you a visit. I can't even imagine doing this in Africa. It's like asking for big trouble.
