Wrote an article for BitScan about what might happen to bitcoin in 2014: http://bitscan.com/bitnews/item/bitcoin-predictions-for-2014
Feedback welcome (including criticism), and any other possibilities I've missed.
Thanks!

I think you're completly wrong with last point.
There already exists a lot of challenger, like litecoin, but they are 10km behind.
Moreover bitcoin have taken 5 years to emerge from nothing and it is now the first.
If a real challenger must be born and grown up, it must have several better features than bitcoin.
And even if it is possible, it will take at least 2 or 3 years to get to the first place.

Being the first is a great advantage : see microsoft, amazon, facebook, tweeter, etc...
Yes Google have beaten altavista and yahoo, but it had new concepts with true better features.

I thought we were already past that for a while now as it peaked at $1200 then dropped quite a bit for a while.Im starting to think the Forbes article I saw was right in claiming that it could drop to $10 by the middle of this year (reminds me of how BTC dropped sharply in July 2011,back when I was a newcomer into mining just before that crash) but this time around after a short slump,it'll rise sharply again so be sure to buy early and quickly when that happens.

I seriously can't see it hitting $10 because the demand seems to be there plenty to keep it relatively up. If it does crash, I can see it go down to ~$100, but it wouldn't last long at all!

Explain?
Bit of a controversial one, I guess, though it's reasonable as the price has dropped 30% in a few weeks. Just not sure whether it's got much further to go or not since it seemed to recover at $750 and the price is now stable for the first time in months.
