I think this is their strategy to bait some big companies to invest in Bitcoin. Big Whales are luring them to gain more and be more productive.

The Good news is the SEC are investigating Whales for market manipulation.

If the Justice department can link a whale to a futures position that was say SHORT and then find out the Whale dumped a mother load of BTC on the market it will be jail time for those involved.

The SEC are watching these Whales so they would want to be careful!

In my opinion the whales are running scared and that is why the market is in the doldrums.

I think that whales always played these games and will play it. Too stable market is not interesting for big investors because they buy something to get profit

I don't know that this is really happening lol. Stockmarket manipulation is really not illegal in my opinion tho we hate the idea because it sounds really unfair. But that is just how the crypto stocks really works. Tho i am not sure if they can really put them in jail

I also think that in this system there will be a freedom to everyone so it means we can do anything we wanted for our investment. We can sell as much as we can and we can buy as long as we can. We as a investors we have a different strategy to make as much profitable but the worst thing is some other big investors or big whales are truly manipulating the market and they never meant what will be the effects of it to others therefore a lot of investors specially small investors.

i was wondering that how SEC will investigated the market to identified whales because crypto market is difficult to investigated and if whales true manipulate the price and i think they already prepare to facing this possibility however in my view if this is true and whales get caught by SEC then i think possibly the market will recover soon

it's good to control the whales in order to prevent market manipulation. I would just really like to prefer to see the contorl bodies to be decentralized entities using blockchain either.

Yeah! they can do what ever they want to do in their coin because it is fair and they have also a right thing to do on their own.  Because if you want to have profit then know what the whales want to do and be like a whale, do buy when they dump it then sell it when you know that if it right time to sell your coin.  Yes, they can get into jail when the bitcoin was ban in their country.

BTC whales are those people holds a very big amount of coins they do bought the coins during the prices are low always supervised the trend of market flows makes advertisement to attracts investors when the demand rises they released and sold trade thier coins exactly they get big profit that's a dangerous game in terms of business strategy,  but I think not all BTC whales are selfish reminding there are many ICO's and bounties  who's need a help from them a source of income for thier daily needs please we're under the same roof which is Bitcoin a good legacy and a foundation to help others.

There are few things that SEC can do it, if they figure out who are these people who are playing with the market and manipulates it, they can look closely to those people.

Its been a long time that whales always playing to manipulates bitcoin price in the market.
What we need to do is never use our emotional feeling when deciding buy or sell in the market.

SEC is just trying to pretend they are relevant and create an illusion of their power. otherwise this market was not created yesterday. it has been around for 9 years and the manipulation existed ever since exchanges started showing up. they never cared to do anything about it so far.
not to mention that bitcoin doesn't belong to SEC or even US for that matter. they have no power to do anything at all.

I agree with this, the SEC is trying to make it seem as if they have control of the market by issuing statements about this topic, but what they can do about this? Not much, this is why regulations coming from the governments are going to fail, the only rules that bitcoin follows are the lines of code written by the developers, those are our laws.

Whales are uncertainly responsible for the current market conditions that (may) experiencing difficult times, the price is seems testing the support, maybe it’s getting ready for a long trail ahead and hopefully that trend is a positive trend for investors.

Whales have been manipultaing the market for a long time, and even if they own 1/3 of the total supply they will not be able to destroy Bitcoin.

That there is manipulation in one way or another, in every market, this is undeniable, but destroying the market is already something contradictory, whales try to make the most profit possible. Only with more people interested in technology and not just easy money can the market mature and become less susceptible to speculative attacks.

It is a difficult task to begin with because bitcoin trading is not restricted to a certain area and SEC does not have any legal validation outside its jurisdiction and even if the SEC finds out who is behind these manipulation and those teams are outside their jurisdiction they cannot do anything. In a market without any regulation we need to expect these kind of manipulation, lets see what they will come up with and how SEC is planning to deal if they find out the people behind these manipulations.

It won’t be regulated because the SEC has no right and permission to deal with the affairs of other countries because this manipulation occurred globally and these whales are also smart. But if it happens right then the market will have a drastic price decrease and then stagnant.

In my opinion, these whales might have something to do with the price manipulation of bitcoin causing the market to go bear market. SEC should make a move to control this manipulation that affects the btc market in general and they should be held liable for what have they done. In the event where SEC could mininmize such manipulation, definitely btc market will recover soon in the coming months. My thoughts.
