I would choose Bitcoin. Ripple of course a good coin, but still Bitcoin is the number one coin, and is the most stable coin. Bitcoin is also a limited coin, which means that Its price will rise after the last bitcoin coin is mined.

Although the ripple is very good and has the potential for strong growth, Bitcoin is still the best coin in the market for me and to keep it in the long run is still the best and safest choice. Investors should have their own investment plan in order to survive and succeed in this market.

Very ockward too seeing Ripple compete with Bitcoin, Really! First of all there is a two much difference in price of both coins. Rest is the history, so i will definitely choose Bitcoin over Ripple and why not? Bitcoin is the first and father of all crypto! I'm don't saying ripple is not a good coin but there's too much risk to invest in Ripple against Bitcoin.

I know i already made up my mind when came across with this topic because i always settle for the one that's very promising and the most dominant crypto in the cryptoworld. I choose bitcoin than ripple though i have them both in my portfolio because i know bitcoin will always be the icon of cryptos in the future.

Bitcoin was an established cryptocurrency since from the start, and if you have to compare ripple to bitcoin it has really a huge gap when it comes to adoption and usage. The demand hasn't gone that high when it comes to trading and spending, specially when it's used with gambling and online buying. Businesses like trading is the usual spending of bitcoin and unlike ripple it just depend on the trading aspects and not the whole world was educated about it.

I think they are very different currencies that I don't think we should buy, maybe you could compare bitcoin vs. litecoin, that would provide some discussion, right now we can make a financial comparison, and I can say that although bitcoin will always be a safe bet, I think that ripple also has an incredible potential, especially when the negotiations with the banks are over.

Bitcoin because XRP majority is owned by team so maybe they can dump it
It has stated on the whitepaper that the team has owned a lot of premined ripple coin. They have stated on the whitepaper that they will try to dump it regularly. A lot of ripple coins will have started to be dumped to the market in the future because the team needs money for nothin.

Hypothetically speaking, if someone offers you $10,000 to hold in one coin, only condition is to hold it for 2 years, which coin would you choose to hold?

You can choose between only 2 coin, one is bitcoin and other one is ripple. What would you choose?

Nothing can beat BTC as it is well everything  originated. On the other hand ripple has a great potential and eco friendly. If Im going to choose still BTC for two years its rapid growth will continue.

BTC is the leader when Ripple is becoming weaker every day I suppose. BTC will be the most reliable crypto currency in the future too because nothing can beat BTC unlike so strong alt coin and Ripple is not this one at all, without any doubts. It will die in future and everything goes to this result.

I will choose Ripple to hold it for 2 years with such amount. Ripple is a safe haven than bitcoin and with such an amount I can obtain more of ripple than bitcoin. Bitcoin price hasn't been profitable since the last six months and by comparison, ripple is more valuable in terms of price appreciation than bitcoin.

We have different opinion on investment for long term. but to answer to your question  i will go for Bitcoin. It is the most stable crypto on the market as posted. With good fundametals, Market structure, and high level of confidence by the investors. With the growing awareness on Bitcoin globally it does help increase the investment for Bitcoin in the Market.

My opinion Bitcoin is always the number one and most profitable investment does not have anything that we have to doubt about it. Ripple is also just an Altcoin and it itself depends mainly on Bitcoin. Therefore, when Bitcoin prices fall the ripple is affected. And for $ 10,000 now you keep Bitcoin after two years will definitely buy more than ripple.

Ripple is a not mineable coin so I can not put my trust in it. Bitcoin is the leader of  Crypto world, so it will exist until the crypto-coin be deleted so I will choose bitcoin.

If I really would have been given that amount, then surely I would have invested in Bitcoin, but if I had invested my own funds, I would have invested them in ripple, but not such a large amount!

Bitcoin obviously.

Ripple is very centralized and only its team members are going to have that advantage whenever they are very satisfied with the market and start dumping their coin. Bitcoin without any hesitation and doubt will grow more than it used to be for 2 years. For example, we are going to start for this year, halving will commence on 2020 so that's a great opportunity.

I would certainly choose Bitcoin because Ripple already has quite a few competitors. For example Stellar. Bitcoin is still out of competition in the market. I believe that in 2 years, little will change.
