There's been a whole lot of good news regarding btc this year and the price action has remained somewhat bearish 6 months into the year and at a slight negative thing happening we see massive drops like the recent one. The recent exchange hack shouldn't have caused such a drop across all cryptos because this was a small exchange used mainly by locals. Yes definitely, but the question is what is the reason behind the sudden fall. The reversal was mainly due to a lot of negative and fakes news and FUD in the social media in the last months or so pulling the price to even further. But it seems a reversal has already started this month and hope that it is at least a sustainable growth.

Are you thinking whales are manipulating the entire market? If true, they are doing their job well for many months. The market today is very broad and the possibility of price drop may be partly related to them but mainly supply and demand.
